So is vishnu low key, but I feel like everyone knows and accepts that they’re somewhat shitty skis so they can’t really be overrated. Also vishnus are pretty cheap so I ain’t even complaining

Ya I’m not even talking about my personal experience with On3p, Jeffrey’s 102 are a charging ski and I am a pure park skier, that’s why I didn’t like them. ik that. I’m talking about how hard people dickride them for no reason whatsoever. I know the durability is good but at what point is is better to just buy 2 pairs of a much cheaper ski like factions that perform way better but won’t last as long for the same price as one pair of on3ps?

My point exactly lmao I just couldn’t figure out how to put it into words. It’s like saying a toyota prius is better than a bmw because it will last longer. When ppl say On3p is the best they completely ignore performance

Have you skied mango 90s or prodigy 1s? It's easy to say that a ski is super high performing when factions team is mostly comp kids throwing 1980s but in reality they'll barely perform different from any other similar flexing 90 underfoot ski. Poachers are notably heavier and stiffer than other comp skis and TPod throws 2160s on them.

Literally haven’t skied anything better. Performance is what’s it for me, durability is a plus. They just fit my style so well

Also jeffereys are poppy as hell for me. A nice blend of damp and soft plus that bamboo core

I miss when my Kartels were super poppy, pretty dead now but four seasons and 200ish days does that. They still have a place in my quiver but something with new life will be on the shopping list over the next year.

Ive tried wets, and they might be the worst skis I’ve ever ridden, but that won’t stop me from recommending them to every 13 year old that asks what ski they should get.

I get how they would be a great street ski, but for regular park skiing they are just awful

As much as glasses like that do make you look like a hardo they are actually quite functional for skiing they keep the wind out of your eyes way better

These NS orginals edits are so incredibly mid I cannot stand it.

the editing and filming in the Keegan one was so below par for me.

I personally think the edits are good but the approach is kinda off beat.

"You guys miss the golden age of meaningful edits of the hottest riders? Here's 4 edits of well respected and established riders who have already released hundreds of edits!"

The carney one was fire cuz carney edits are rare but I think it would be way cooler if it was people who are on the comeup who don't have people filming them and making good edits. And by comeup I don't mean random skiers from the midwest who are super mid, I mean people who are actually really good but just don't have edits, best example being like Ben Bodett or something.

I like that idea, especially as someone who doesn't follow skiing nearly as close as I used to. Seeing full edits from people I don't know but are fully capable of putting down a fire edit would be great.

I think the marketing of the series is used as an opportunity for the people that are in the ns circle for creating content to put out a piece and have it gain traction. But I mean if you’re like yeah you miss the “golden age” of edits let’s put out these 4 videos is kinda wild bc if you’re advertising your series by using the best of the best, these edits that are coming out are going to be held to such a high standard that it’s easy to fall flat, which in my experience it did.
 
using a song for an edit that a famous hip hop song sampled has been done to death. there is literally endless amazing music to choose from, it’s just signifies having extremely basic taste to still be doing that shit these days

Idk if this is unpopular or not but I want to see more flow in ski edits. It seems like they are usually edited super short, so like each trick is like 2 seconds long then they cut to the next trick. A lot of the time the clip doesn't even show the whole trick. I think it would be way cooler if you flowed between 3 banger tricks without cutting even if there was some downtime in between. I am sick of seeing 1/2 of a banger trick, not knowing how they landed, and then cutting to another trick on a completely different day within 2 seconds.

This is the most annoying thing to me watching ski content.
 
Simply wearing huge pants doesn’t make your outfit dope. Having a sick outfit takes effort and there are plenty of nice kits that don’t need huge pants.

the swinging belt strap trend is kinda whack. Looking at you vulgus/capeesh

Poles vs no poles doesn’t matter as long as you’re comfortable and it matches your style.
 
Filming every day park skiing is better for your progression cause it forces you to be aware of your style and to try harder more creative tricks. I don’t do shit if im not filming. Sure it might make skiing less fun in the moment but the delayed gratification from getting a good shot / landing a trick you never thought you’d do is a way better feeling than a day skiing park with no goal in mind.

The best street segments and park edits of all time have been released in the past 3 years. Idgaf what oldheads try to say kids are so much better now, people just don’t wanna admit it and will just watch “idea” on repeat and bitch about how “nothing will ever top this!”

Tbf have you watched all of the nimbus videos. There isn’t anything like them being made in terms of vibe and consistent quality in filming, music taste, and skiing. I don’t think people are arguing that Eric Pollard was doing harder tricks than people these days, people love the videos for different reasons.
