Also skiing needs to be like hockey where you can beat the shit out of each other for something stupid, get thrown in the sin-bin, talk it out, and then go back out onto the snow.

all hatred is renounced in the skiers penalty box, the smoke shack

If I see another kid with an NS sticker on the helmet who "doesn't use the website", I'm gonna smack you.

Last time I asked about someone’s sticker he said he interned for NS but doesn’t use the forums…better than nothing I guess.

The younger generation of skiers really are some of the dumbest of fucks ever. God bless yall.

I think the level of tricks being done has warped kids' perception of skiing. If you go on instagram explore page or tik tok or whatever the tricks the phone will show you are insanely hard and take like a decade+ of training in trampoline astronaut facilities to learn. Anyone whos been into skiing for a min knows that only like the top 0.1% of skiers can hit those tricks but the kid on the phone thinks thats like the norm because of this hyper neo reality thats been created by instagram iphone. Because they think the level of avg ski tricks is so unattainable they (kids) are more concerned with playing dress up and making tik toks instead of actually skiing.

Just be kind & supportive to the kiddos you see on hill/in the park. I'd rather kids be in the park w bluetooth speakers side jumping and snaking instead of being on a X box all day.

Cause child labor exists

Maybe in terms of street skiing but idk about filming and editing, and they certainly don’t have the bc segs to square up, to be the best IMO you gotta be a beast at everything

What age range you talking? Because the kids 13-17 are fucked tbh however they are kids so maybe they’ll learn.

Frame bindings aren't that bad. People really exaggerate how awful they are. For short tours its a great intro to backcountry, and do not require a brand new boot.

It was a good intro as in I immediately decided to save up for a better setup lmao

I should add that the frames weren't the only bad part of the setup. The skis were far from touring skis and way too big for me and my boots were pretty bulky as well. Nothing about that setup was meant to leave the resorts

Yeah I mean definitely want a pure setup once money allows. I'm using my resort boots with no walk mode, on some clapped reckoners.

I can't imagine how nice it'll feel going to something dedicated for BC

Had the exact same experience, a friend gave me a set of duke frame bindings and I mounted them to some candides and had possibly one of the heaviest touring setups ever. Got me into it though and just invested in some a/t boots and kingpins for this season

I actually can’t understand how people don’t think strictly is the greatest film crew of all time

gonna take a wild guess that you’re from colorado

the meatheads were the greatest crew of all time hands down. they haven't been around in their former glory since like 2011 or so, when they stopped making full length movies and started producing webisodes. all the guys are gone now and it's just freestyle coaches from the local mountain or whoever they can find, and they haven't done urban in a decade.

Guess who just sourced one ?

ski shop liability is kinda cooked. Like I get it in terms of liability: You don't want to get sued by some dipshit beater but some ski techs can let some shit slide you know??? My soles are cooked and not the shell and they're not banna'd so just help a dude out. I'll give you beer and weed. Fuck I need to buy a nice Dewalt and find a jig for pivots. I want to re-mount my Woodsman 116s.

Y’all really aren’t gonna like this one

i honestly don’t really care if someone side hits in the park, I don’t get why ppl get so mad at people for jumping off the side

Cause they aren't usually paying attention, and get in the way/cause collisions and shit (no understanding/respect of park etiquette)....Other than that no reason.

Heres an example that happened to me...

"first lap of day hitting a set up at a resort in Summit, CO.

There are two features in a row.. flat tube then a small pole jam as a take off for a another flat tube

I havent taken the time to look closely at the pole jam where it meets the snow, so i'm wary of sliding the Jam sideways, and 50/50 up it, all good.

next run... top of first rail waiting for a kooky looking skier to drop. I give him enough space so as not to hit him if he falls, and then drop behind him. Dude attempts a side jump 180 of the first take off, in my periphial I see him whirly birding way out of the rail line to the left near the park boundary fence and figure he's done, as I slide the tube.

All my focus is now on the next polejam/tube feature, Im coming in to 50/50 on again, about 10' away. All of a sudden side jump boi comes at a crazy angle from the side, cuts right in front of me. I gotta throw em sideways to not hit the dude.

Im pretty comfy with it, so I make a split second decision to just continue with a tokyo drift onto the pole jam

My suspicions are confirmed as I hit the pole jam sideways....the front edge of the polejam is not buried by about a 1/4"

My ski flies off, I eat shit really hard, and my ski now has a dented edge, and full on delamination(basically trashed)."

Thank you side jumper.

Safety glasses are the best option for night riding IMO

As a previous hater of safety glasses they are 100% the best option for night midwest/Eastcoast non dumping snow conditions. Do not limit peripherals at all and keep snow gun snow outta your eyes.

here we go

I like Bruce oldham

if you’re an unproblematic, talented ass skier with a great attitude and always lifting everyone up, ima fw you despite what brands you ride for or how bad your kits are. bUt hIs sLoPe aCademyyyy, yeah bros gotta make money somehow, especially since companies don’t pay their athletes in this industry.

also cuz he followed me back on ig and tiktok

How do your eyes not water when going fast

The glasses block wind...and only can go so fast for so long on 600' vert. I've worn them in Idaho and was fine as well though.

I've tried, wind always finds a way in to the eyeball then it waters and I can't see shit

unless you're a pro, skiing with no poles looks stupid.

While standing in line for a ski movie one day, I realized that a lot of what skiers do and wear looks stupid, regardless of how cool we think it is amongst ourselves.

Imma bring in that tucked polo and khaki drip for 2023. Assistant best buy manager steeze comin in hot to a movie premiere near you. Just ask for Brayden and I'm your man.

lip back 2s are a overrated trick that doesn’t even really look that good and the only reason this community dickrides them so hard is cause trash skiers think they’re good cuz they can do this trick

Let’s just be honest, we all learned this trick in less than 3 tries our first season in the park. It’s literally a combination of 2 of the easiest tricks we learned, lip slide and back 2s

In general, the fashion choices of skiers are pretty funny when you take a step back and think about it. Some people have a decent level of self-awareness about it, and some others do not.

Parkcrewhatesyou is really cringe

like just cuz u just learned how to straight slide the easiest rails in the park and think ur the shit doesn’t give u the right to record random 10 year olds side hitting and post them without their consent to some dumbass page that only posers find funny cuz they’re insecure that they fucking suck and will never be real park skiers

the only ppl who send shit to PCHY is the posers who stands at the top of the park/features for the entire day and you never see them do a single trick or drop in once ?

saw a snowboarder on Saturday who had a PCHY jacket on and he was just sitting at the top of a small feature for like 20 minutes just to come off early on a 50-50 then carve around the rest of the park

It’s honestly a huge circle jerk just like jerryoftheday
