attacks are lighter, just as durable and are much more reliable for releasing imo.
i've only had 1 set of griffons but have heard hundreds say about the not sure if you're fully clicked in thing with the heel piece, its super frustrating. Also, griffon butt is a real thing, it isnt nice....
13726686:hippystinx said:i had jesters a couple of years ago..and blew through two heel pieces over the course of two years. I bought attack 13s in 2013 i think and I have been riding them ever since and have had zero problems. I repeat zero problems.
so i say attacks...they seem to keep you in when you need it and release when you fall in that awkward spot every time.

13728944:Titsandwich11 said:no, id say get the 95mm brakes-- if you have to bend them out at all, it will only be by a tiny bit. 110mm brakes would be bigger than you want on a 98mm waist
13729140:Giorgi said:so 95mm brakes will be the best option right?
13729859:grilled_cheese said:Griffons are a little sketchy. My boot moves inside the toe piece with the DIN cranked (professionally mounted and centered with the boot I'm in now). Not to mention they're heavy, and some metal parts were replaced with cheap plastic ones for 2017.
Tyrolia Attacks are light and durable so go with those.

13729130:ABskier said:i'm pretty sure the brake for the attack is 97mm. You wont need to bend it.
13726331:Zypher said:Gotcha man. Just remember, if you buy attacks without the brakes make sure to get the "A" brakes from tyrolia in any width. The "B,C, and D" wont work.
14139761:Poindexter. said:Only the A brake is designed to snap into the 13s heel track. The others are for the 11, adrenaline/ can't remember what else.
Pretty silly for two different brakes between the 11 and 13. Don't know why they did that

Has anyone tested recent Markers? Looking at the spec they're twice lighter now and praised for their heel pieces in some reviews (still trading off 7mm of stand height tho). So not sure how much of this 4 yo conversation is applicable now.
Any opinions?
