so while readin the news and checkin stuff out online i came across something i found pretty funny

apparently a few arab speaking news articles, and some other nations around that area are claiming that American Underwater Nuclear testing is the reason a tsunami of that size occured and we are to blame for the 140k+ deaths

The biggest mistake was made by the guy who's responsible for the meteorological service in Thailand. he could have issued the warning, but he didn't, fearing he would loose his job if the tsunami finally didn't happen.

if underwater nukes are detonated and are able to displace mass amounts of ocean floor, a tsunami would be the result...not saying that this is what happened, just that it is entirely possible.

Notthebomb alone,but a bomb, especially an H-bomb (which vaporizes 200 sq km of stratosphere) could do it no prob. but it could also trigger an already existing fault line, possibly not even in the same body of water. this is another post about the rest of the world view's on the united states.

I travelled for the 8th time in the United States during the x-mas break, and I visited my 15th state.:Montana. Kinda boring except for the mountains, still many cowboys and farmers, and correct me if I'm wrong but seems like a quite conservative state. Anyways I met about 15 ppl there, all kinds of ppl, but all really nice.

Ppl have always been somehow stupid(so have I) and right now the trend is to be anti-american. Ill talk about the french since I no what its like there about the States(im still a proud french citizen). Ppl who have never got their nose out of the country proclaim themselves anti-american without any idea of what america is like(Michael Moore: good movies, fat stupid hypocrit too). It makes ppl feel smart to hate americans, saying they are all fat and all shoot each other and you know this kinda stuff. It recently happened with the tsunami when they were accused of not donating much cash for the victims(unfounded theory) and now again it will happen soon.

Well times will change and ppl will pick on another country, americans should just avoid travelling in some countries right now, and I am for your information thinking of myself as a liberal and do not support Bush either, but I think America is a very nice country.

We've tested probably 1000's of nukes both close surface and deep water blasts. (I've got my dads old army issued book on 'effects of nuclear weapons) I can promise you that nukes don't cause tsunami's unless we've created something exponetially more powerful than the hydrogen bomb. First it goes from no American blame, then it goes to America didn't donate enough relief, and now it goes America probably caused it. I pray for a nuclear holocaust this world truely needs a fresh start.

almostaskier, the states did know about the tsunami about 2 hours before it hit but they were unable to get a hold of anyone in the contries that were hit. it wasnt because of the system that they didnt have. it was know that if the countries that were hit had the warning systems alot would be different
