everyone claimed it was photoshop, but then the kona guys started sending out that shot to everyone and it got printed in ESPN magazine so im pretty sure its real. WATSON and BC painted on the road is good enough proof.

those same compression artifacts can be seen on all the harsh edjes like that in the photo - just look at the edge on the mountains and sky

look at the front tire...there is a straight line where the horizon doesn't match up...that's not a compression artifact.

Its a sloppy job, but it shows you the out line. Look closely, and you will see that the edges are SQUARE, they do not match the contour of the bike. I circled the most noticable corners

the proportions of the bike in the air and those of the ones on the ground are way off...plus that particular stretch of the course has sheer rock face on the lower end...I learned that by studying a map of the course and attempting to pinpoint the exact locale...plus you can also tell by the way the rock had been blasted away and shaped to form room for the road

so fake...giant rider and no landing

i can see maybe why the people were looking up -- the road turns so that it goes above them you can see in the back of the photo it curves up... soo they are prob looking up at the race going on above them.... its a far fetch but yea

The dust coming off the top is proof its real. The article says the landing was rocky which sort of proves what slickjamesjik said. Watson on the road is more proof. The squares could have been made because of the jpeg compression or whatever when you blew it up. it might have just squared it off. They don't look like squares in the original picture. It might be fake. Thats just my two cents.

Did you every think that everything abuot it was real except the biker. Also, if the person filming this was trying to make it look real, they could easily have somebody walk up there where the biker was just to get people to look up.

The BC WATSON is on the road because that is where the jump took place. BUT: The rider is photoshopped most likely. Someone just snapped a photo of the race there, and someone got a hold of it and photoshopped it. No spectator would have known down there when Watson was to go because you couldnt see the lip from the bottom (which is apparent in the picture), so probably nobody tookm a picture save the film crew when he jumped. So someone just took a picture from that point and added in a guy. Wait till (Late) august when the pictures come out.

Look at the edges around the skier. Theyre square. That happened when I blew up snonastys paint contest entry and saved it as a jpeg. The same thing could have happened with the biker. The person that took the picture could have been with the film crew and not just some random spectator.

oh man...i wanted the winter one, with the skier clearing the road. but cool picture. its real. you people know nothing about photoshopping (besides clausen).
