Torstein landed a triple in the X-games!! (snowboarding)

I remember seeing him do it in the summer, but it's so much sicker in a competition. Especially the X-Games.

torstein is the man
that interview was great! haha
seb toots rode like a boss the whole though!
slopestyle gonna be very interesting tomorrow

Trick was insane...who cares if it was "only a 180 to triple backflip"....it was a goddamn triple flip at X....and it was sick.

Interview was the best interview ever

He look like he was in TONS of pain...major props for throwing that, especially in that amount of pain.

I wanted to see is double back to rodeo 7...maybe next year, haha....sick no-the-less.

hahahaha yeah that was some funny shit because whoever it hit would be so far back they would have no idea it was coming

hey cmon guys how bout the kid doing it with some fractured ribs. it was hurting since before the killy dew tour stop. i remember his slopestlye run

yea hes like the sickest snowboarder and hes hillarious especially his videos. but he did say skiing was gay in some interview...

that was a bunch of BS...

it was a 180 with a triple backflip. the first flip maybe was corked. but after that, it was just backflips and dragged his hand.

also, tautant or whatever his name is, got robbed. his last trick he landed clean and stomped it at that. and he only got 29.

torstein shouldnt've won gold.

the judging fluctuation is a bit of a joke. Torstein happens to take the lead by one point? and then seb gets a 29 for a perfect double cork fs 10 which had been getting scored near 40 all night for everyone? i understand torstein did a triple but u could be a little less blatant about the rigged judging just for the sake of your story lines.

If nothing else score torstien a 48 or something. 50 for the new trick -2 for the hand

I feel like that's just the reason why it got scored down though. Torstein did something new, but seb had been doing the same dub 10 all night. I mean..mix it up a little?

idk, just my thoughts on the judging.

Yah it seemed like they docked him some points because everyone else was trying new stuff like 12s and a triple. That being said, if it scored high earlier, then it should still score high in the end and judging shouldnt fluctuate like that.

I bet I am going to get hated on big time right now, but I am going to say it: that was ugly. Just plain ugly. For real. If he actually corked, then it is freestyle. But, he just did three backflips really fast. Honestly, I have never been on the "style" side of the competition argument, but I think I just got converted. If that is the future, that is hideous. I know, I know; it takes an insane amount of talent. I can't even hit a kicker that size in my best dreams. Still, it just didnt sit right with me. And yes, some kid got a broken nose from his goggles.

I can see where you're coming from, for sure. His first triple that he did a while back looked much cleaner but this one was really flaily, barely grabbed, and mad sketch landing. But I feel like that's just because, I don't think he went into that comp with the mind set of doing that triple; I mean I'm sure it was somewhere in his mind but I think that he just got up there and decided he was going to throw it half way down the run in.

He for sure needs to clean it up, add a sick grab and land a little better and I think that it would be a lot better.

/3cents

a jump shaped like that isnt very practical for a triple... obviously torstien is aware thats its not going to look immaculate but he knows what it takes to win i guess. If X wants to see big floaty dubs and maybe even some steezy triples next year, cut the distance in half and make that shit pop. Que aerials fest, its inevitable in competition.

this.
on that note, the commentator who kept calling every double flip in the HP final a double cork really annoyed me

Is it me or was the kicker for big air fairly small, i mean i wouldn't hit it but it isn't like the big kickers in this years ski movies
