Top rap albums ever made

i sb'd but didnt really find anything. sorry if this is a repost.

what are the albums that you will never get tired of listening to?

mine:

1. Notorious - Ready to Die

2. Nas - Illmatic

3. Redman - Dare Iz A Darkside

4. Weezy - Carter 3

5. Jay-Z / Kanye - Watch the Throne

inb4 haters on the carter 3

Carter III and Watch The Throne are not even close to top 10, let alone top 5.

Get out of here with your radio hit hip hop garbage.

And where is 36 Chambers or Me Against The World? Or Outkast? Or any number of other influential classic albums? The fact that you would rank Lil Wayne and Kanye West over Tupac or Wu-Tang makes me sad.

And if you're going to put Jay Z on the list at least The Black Album, not Watch The Throne.

Fuck you if you disagree

When ever people rank shit like this it's always twisted as fuck. In my opinion the only criteria that can be looked at when ranking albums or artists is influence. A Tribe Called Quest changed hip-hop with the introduction of jazz, Dr Dre with the G-Funk, WIZ KHALIFA WITH BLACK AND YELLOW lol nah, but really its about influence. I respect Illmatic but thats about it.

yes those are all good albums too, i was trying not to make the list all old school.

on another note.

Born Again, 36 Chambers, Full Clip, The Big Picture are all really solid

3030, the chronic, license to ill, 93 til infinity, the eminem show, ready to die, lifestyles of the poor and dangerous, just some of my favs

the Carter 3 was one of the worst rap albums I have ever heard. I was pure garbage. Wayne was good pre carter 3. He has been for the mot part awful since. I respect him for making aburd amounts of money off of terrible music though. If you think the Carter 3 was a top album get the fuck out....lol at 15 year olds

This is honestly one of the stupidest things you can say about music. "oh its been getting worse for the past 20 years. Nope, no good rap or hip hop anymore." Maybe you just hate all the music or don't listen to it. I don't get people like you.

Anyways, Deltron 3030 and 36 chambers should be on there imo.

Best HIP-HOP albums, according to me:

Nas - Illmatic

Mos Def - Black on Both Sides

Wu Tang Clan - 36 Chambers

Mos Def and Talib Kweil are Blackstar - Blackstar

A Tribe Called Quest - Midnight Marauders

Jurassic 5 - Quality Control

Notorious BIG - Life After Death

noteables:

Eminem's early LP's

Snoop Dogg - Doggystyle

Gang Starr - Moment of Truth

fuck posted too early

finishing up the notables:

Outkast

Raekwon - only built for cuban linx 1/2

MAINSTREAM i.e what they play on the radio. And not even all of that is bad it just isn't AS GOOD as it was back then because there were so many good artists putting out classic records that got a lot of recognition.

There's a lot of fantastic rap coming out today and has been for the last decade it just doesn't get as much recognition. You clearly misunderstood that post because I never ever said that no rap was good anymore, I just am not down with shit like The Carter III and garbage music.

In no real order, and sure i'm forgetting a few

-illmatic

-36 chambers

-blue scholars (self titled album)

-blackout

-moment of truth

-Black Album

-fucksomanyimforgetting

Dope D.O.D - Branded.. I wouldn`t claim it to be in the top ten, but I´ve listened to it a lot lately and it is very different from other rap/hiphop songs, and variety is good. Not many people have heard of them, so check them out. some songs i would recommend are: what happened, psychosis and gatekeepers.

mobb deep - the infamous

3 necessary components to any true rap collection

1. 2001

2. illmatic

3. ready to die

everything else by dre, nas, pac, big, game, snoop and cube fill out the rest of the top 20 in no particular order.

Some peoples choices are pretty bad. But then again there's a ton of 14 year olds on here.

I know there wasn't a limit, but people should try and limit it to 5. Just posting off 30 rap albums is kind of useless.
