To wear or not to wear? HELMETS.

That's complete bullshit

In this video, the helmet did exactly what it was supposed to, it broke apart. A lot of the energy was transferred to the helmet, forcing it to break apart, which consequently reduced the impact to his head. Guess what would have happened if he wasn't wearing a helmet, his head would have been the thing that got cracked open. If he wasn't wearing a helmet, you would have just watched a video of someone who died skiing

 
I've only ever skied with a helmet and I feel pretty exposed if I ever don't. A lot of my friends reckon they look gay as hell but when we went away last year they all hit there heads at least once. The best line I heard was from my friend's sister who said 'you couldn't pay me to wear a helmet, they look stupid' and there she was - wearing earmuffs...
