I would like to formally disagree with the idea that the internet isn't real life.
The internet simply represents a shift in the communications technology available to humans. The argument that you're doing nothing when you do something on the internet is such an antiquated concept.
The internet is made up of people. When people do things on the internet, it can have just as much impact as doing them in real life.
Think about it this way - if you make money on the internet is that somehow deemed fake money? No. Its real money, because the internet is just a communication tool for real people.
