Hunting is terrible and inhumane. Often when and animal is shot or hit with an arrow it will run away and bleed to death far away. Hunters are too lazy to track these animals and let them rot in the forests. Hunting is also bad because there is already meat in the grocery store...why kill more animals? Its totally uncalled for.
Not to mention the guns used are easily used to commit crimes such as the Batman movie shooting.

eating an elk you killed for a year is cool, hanging up the antlers and using the hide is cool
taking a picture and being an idiot and inhumanly killing the animal and not using all of the animal you killed is not cool

My neighbours go out hunting, and they do some stuff I think is great, and some stuff that's kinda bullshit. The bullshit part is that they drive around a huge field in their truck, and once they see a buck, they'll get set up and shoot it. I don't know how many hunters hunt this way, but I think it's a pretty lazy way of going about things.
The cool shit is they use everything from the deer. They hang him up in their garage, clean him out, and chop him up into cuts of meat, and they'll freeze the meat and eat it throughout the winter.
Trophy hunters all deserve to be trampled by elephants.
Hunting would be way more badass if you had to use a bow and arrow and a knife instead of a high powered scoped rifle. The people that hunt with bows and arrows are the most badass motherfuckers on the planet.
And to the cunts that are killing Rhinos in Africa, stop killing Rhinos you cunts.

Bought my license today and I am heading up Friday morning. It is suppose to snow 8 inches on Saturday so it should be an interesting time.

I'm not hunting this year because I have a lot of other shit to take care of. I'm definitely missing it though.

There is no doubt in my mind that hunting provides benefits to the environment but the majority of people i know that hunt don't hunt because they care about the environment or because they just cant live without elk or deer meat in their freezer. They do it because they think there is sport in tracking and shooting at an animal with a high powered rife. Plus after they bag these animals they try to give the majority of the meat away because they don't even know what to do with it all which is annoying as fuck.

Hunting thread..... made not too long ago. search bar man. Duck, Geese, and deer all start up this month!! right now i only got 5 limb rats in my freezer, hopfully i can get my first deer this year. season starts the 20th of november to december 10. i only hunt deer with shotgun

The lives of many animals raised for meat are less than ideal. They are feed grains and given medications to grow faster. They live in crowded pens, and killed assembly line style, They are under enormous amounts of stress right up until the moment they are killed, often by having a huge metal spike driven into their brain...some times it takes more than one try...all while the next animal in line watches.

Killing something is difficult to do. IMO you should not eat meat unless you are prepared to take the life your self. Hunting provides a sustainable food source, if managed properly. Hunting is a massive economic driver and it is culturally significant to many people.

If you don't agree with it then don't hunt. 95 percent of hunters do so ethically and with purpose. Trophy hunters make every hunter seen like an unethical dickwad, but honestly we aren't all like that.

im gonna go ahead and say that hunting is unnecessary, but relatively not a big deal compared to other ethical issues people have to worry about. nobody NEEDS to hunt because nobody is a fucking pioneer anymore. However, some people hunt because they enjoy it and can still justify what theyre doing by actually using the animal. But I wouldnt really believe anyone trying to rationalize their need to hunt being anything more than for the enjoyment. people hunt because they want to, i dont really see any denying that.
as for the cruelty thing, fuck that. nature is cruel, and the food industry is arguably worse. the deer can get shot, or it can get devoured alive by wolves, or hit by a car, so getting shot and bleeding out in a couple minutes is a pretty good way to go, by deer standards.
the idea of animals getting hit and running off to die is sad though, especially if the body's not found and the animal essentially dies in vain.

Just because you hunt, doesn't make you a pioneer, it makes you someone who likes to go out into the wilderness, away from everything else, and supply food for yourself and others.
