Think the landings on jumps are bad now? London big air in the 1950s

That's amazing. Check out this shot from Denver Big Air early in the build:

The drop in is basically the same. Also, I would like to point out the burliest thing about the London setup. If one of those guys fell on the drop in, there is nothing stopping them from falling 100+ feet onto pavement. No netting, no boards, no pads; nothing.
 
I've seen plenty of flatter landings. I guess on the plus side I've never seen hay bails on the run out.

I was waiting for someone to drop in switch and throw a sw rodeo and bang the shit out of it. Imagine going back and fucking with history like that? I wonder if any one else would try it or if they'd burn you for being a witch.
