Ross Rebagliati, canadian boardercross gold medalist, they found THC in his system, took the medal away, then gave it back when it was discovered that wasn't on the list of banned substances at the time.

Im curious about if they find THC in one of the riders system if that could get them banned from the USA team now that weeds legal in a couple states and its not exactly performance enhancing

while I agree with you 100%, the organization does also make sure athletes arnt blood doping or doing steroids. So its not so much dedicated to pointless bullshit as it is absurd that THC is on the banned substance list IMO.

I believe it is still illegal on the national level. Therefore an agency that represents the entire nation would like abide by those laws.
 
I don't know dude. Riddle is pretty close (well closest I've seen so far) but I would much rather see Simon stomp one. That would be inspirational.
 
Yeah, I think Simon deserves it. This will probably be his only Olympics. Let him have something besides 12 year olds shitting on him on NS. I would be stoked to see him or Tanner win. Tanner is pretty unlikely but just seeing him competing would be nice.
 
I don't think it is that big of a deal if you get caught with weed in your system outside of competition. In comps, you get in trouble in the summer, they really only care about roids. I forget what it said in the video but I think you get like 3 strikes with weed.

I'd almost argue that an athlete should get props for being able to beat others stoned. I mean is there research that says it increases your athletic ability that I don't know about?
