Hardest part was getting the motion right for taking the bottom plastic cover off. It's really easy and straight forward. Just make sure you got the right ssd with a good fast read time
 
My friends and I still play pubg regularly lmao. Still fun with friends. It's the only shooter we've ever been able to get into, dunno why

Final Fantasy 16 is sick as hell so far even if the boss fights are yet to become challenging. Any action game with a parry / perfect dodge system is my shit.

On the aesthetics, not nearly as good as some other FF games like 9 and 10, but the forest area was cool and I have hope there will be some more fantastical areas later in the game.

sweet. Already replaced my plates with dark plates if that is the plastic cover you are talking about. Pops got me a WD sn850x for Christmas so it should be plenty good from what I know.

also I will say switching to darkplates over the stock plates significantly reduced the temp/amount the fan had to run on my ps5. Highly recommend them.....plus they now have clear plates for that ps2/Nintendo nostalgia

Finally got around to booting it up, this game has so many issues on PC sadly. First of all, they have mouse acceleration turned on, and it can only be disabled by modifying the .ini files. Also, they have the vertical sensitivity locked at 1/2 the horizontal sensitivity. So no matter how you set the overall sensitivity setting, you have to move the mouse way more to move up/down than when you move left/right. Again, can only be fixed by modifying .ini files. The combination of these two issues makes for a very bad shooting feel compared to other modern games.

Apparently it plays way better on console. I'm trying to fix these but the game's .ini files aren't even showing up in the location that everything is indicating
 
We need EA Black Box to make a ski game bad….they perfected skate 3. I think they could add some snow overlay to maps they already created and we would have a perfect game

there was a ski game called snow on steam that I thought was pretty cool. But it is broken now, and since the devs abandoned the game 2 years ago I have doubts it will ever get fixed.

Black box has been dead for 10 years rip

The park skiing in Steep actually got to a decent spot before Ubi went full into rider republic

I change it very often to fit the needs of the missions, and I can’t be bothered to paint it lol. But generally I’ve been using double bazooka arms and it feels ridiculous

It's fantastic, insanely fun combat. But it's also my first FromSoftware game so it is absolutely kicking my ass. It is very hard, and there are no difficulty setting

Has anybody played Riders Republic much? Some guy on the chair lift yesterday was hyping it up a ton. He was saying how he finally cleared Walk the Line at Silverstar and was accounting his success to playing Riders Republic all winter. I watched some videos on it last night and it seems pretty glitchy and weird. I have Steep so I'm kinda doubting Riders Republic is worth the $50. The physics and controls just look a little unfinished. Thoughts?

It's got a different control scheme to accommodate the different sports, there's a "steep controls" setting but it's not the same and pretty wack.

Defo not worth 50 dollars unless you really wanna do the other sports
 
I was mainly gonna do the dh bike and bmx I was thinking. How are the controls with them? Mainly just trying to cruise around and ride trail not really into the racing stuff.

The trail you ride is basically just three foot wide dirt path which isn't super sick, lot of switch backs

Bmx controls probably are the most natural feeling cuz it's the already the most video gamey bike style

Overall it's not terrible but also not super sick.

Tbh the best mtb game I've came across is this indi game Lonely Mountains Downhill. You can probably get it super cheap on sales

Lonely Mountains Downhill is excellent, been begging the devs to make a skiing version for years.

I kind of regret not getting an i9 but my power supply wouldn't have been enough to support it and I couldn't be bothered to upgrade it

Could be worth it man, I bought this i9 in 2019 and its still doing a great job.

I finally got class c piloting, and the first couple ranks of starship design.

Spent a bunch of time tricking out the Razorleaf. Swapped out for a massive 30 power reactor, better grav drive. 2 more 1x3 habitat pods for crew. And two 700 unit cargo bays to top it off lol

Plus it still basically looks the same as when I got during the mantis quest

I havent really dove into ship building. The ship you get from completing the rangers questline has been carrying me through space battles

Ship building is a whole game in itself, can't get enough of it

I haven't done the ranger quest, but I've heard the ship is sick.

If you haven't done it yet I high recommend doing the secret outpost mission, you get a ship, hideout, and a super cool suit+helmet

Mantis was a door quest, one of my favs. Been a big fan of bounty missions with the rangers after finishing their questline. Just so much to do everywhere
