wow, i like how i go to the end of this profile and the topic of conversation has become Thomas Jefferson. I think i'll bring this thread back to topic tho. I'll probably get shit for this, but i really think that Bush has escalated the transfer of economic power away from America. Its inevitable that China or possibly some other country would become the new power, but Bush really hasn't helped much. The free trade has been shifting jobs and goods away from America to countries with cheap labor. Also, the world opionon of the US is down since the war on Iraq, and that's not gonna help. Breakout of mad cow and Bush's lack of effort in controlling the meat industry isn't making things better either.

it has much to do with 'goodness'. have you heard of traits like loyalty? character? integrity? without such rules, given we have live in a society dominated by patrial foundations, women would be treated as pieces of meat. we have been trying to transcend from traditional ways to give women more rights in all forms for a century or more. so your saying we should revert to cavemen ways were we club the hoes over the head and then cork them left and right without remorse? to say adultery is a western ideal makes no sense whatsoever...its a human agenda for all. it makes sense and men and women will agree.
