The Stoked Thread

If any of you would be interested in something like this, how much would you pay for it?

Well yeah I understand how to appropriately mark items up but since the price to make them seems to be higher then I thought I figured I should find out what people are willing to pay before I go and get a ton made and find out no one wants em becauce they are too expensive.

Did you get a test of that yet or what, were they able to use the file.

I would pay 5-10 dollars for a customizeable sticker like that tops.

Jason said the file works (big thanks to you for that!) but I haven't heard from him whether or not he has cut a proto yet.

Problem is it looks like it will cost $20 for the set which is NOT what I wanted to hear because I know thats way too much to sell em for...whatever though...if it doesnt work out it doesn't work out :)

would have been sweeter if it did though...

I don't even want to think about the whole thing, buuuut what I actually do here is make cutting dies. You could die cut a few hex's and a few boxes and get almost the same effect it would just be harder to stick on. But by diecutting you could probably get more repitition from an initial cost.

But then I lose that advantage in the extra time it takes me to assemble the hex's and boxes properly on the base layers...if i get what your saying

Your cost is $20?

If so, that's not going to turn any profit for ya.

If you can make it sell for $20 and still net you profit, make it happen.

Yeah thats what the local die-cutters are quoting me at right now but I'm not ready to put this down yet. I'm going to continue to look at other options though.

I just really need to get the proto one in my hands before I go any further...thats the only thing stalling me right now. Its summer time though so its no biggy. Jason said he'd get it done before he went to Whistler this weekend so thats good news for me :)

hmmm...any interest in them at $18-20/set? Seems to be the lowest i'll be able to do em for unfortunately.

If you are, PM me and if possible, add these pole measurements along with your PM because that will give me a better idea on a universal model.

- Length of the pole in inches from the bottom of the grip to the top of the basket(Just the shaft)

- circumferance of the shaft below the grip

- circumferance of the shaft above the basket

- the height from the beginning of the taper to the basket.

friend of mine took some girl out to dinner at the place I work. All the food had some sort of sexual reference in the alignment. it was great. Also wrote 'happy ending?' on the bill before the waitress gave it to him. Then she paid. Fucking Classic.

CELTICS OMG!!!! Yahoooooooooooo I went fuckin apeshit last night and woke up my landlord hahaha too many beers + green + celtics schooling 'em = A GOOD FUCKIN TIME!! I let the whole neighborhood know whats up

My fiancee has to go to one of two of our bridal showers tonite.

Lots of shit for our apartment will be recieved.

Haha, well when he first made the snwbrdmilf one, he said he was going to change in after the 30 days. It lasted for about 11 months. So I PMed him saying he could finally change his name. And he did. lol

NEVAR!

But, seeing as I feel I've reached my peak in snowboarding, besides some gnargnar BC pow, I shall take up skiing more next year. Lele says she's got some skis for me.

Might as well ask...

Moving to Vermont in a month...

Are skins and trekkers (know they aren't the best, but I don't want to drop massive amounts of money on Dukes) a worthy purchase?

guess depends where you are. I don't have much vermont experience except for around jay, and we only toured a half dozen times. others will have to speak up about the rest of the state. There definitely is alot of place to tour, just depends if you plan to spend more time doing that then onhill. Theres nothing huge with tough terrain that trekkers shouldn't be able to handle though

Mostly central, as I'll be in Rutland.

Maybe I'll hold off until further in the future and just stick with on-hill until my skills increase. I thought I was a good skier, but I was wrong. I am nowhere near a good technical skier. My local area does not have any steep terrain, so I never had anything to up my skills.

Stoked on yesterday!!

Drove from home to Rochester (school), took care of some business when I got back to the apartment, got the mail, paid bills blah blah.....

Drove down to school to take care of some things, chatted up all the cute new transfer students, ran into some friends I'd not seen in awhile, good time all around...

Drove back to the apartment, phone rings LITERALLY as I sat down to hop on NS; my buddy calls me "Yo do you want to go to Dave Matthews? RIGHT NOW?" haha hell yeah! Jump in the batmobile and drive like nuts to make it to the concert, pick up some beers on the way, pound those down in the parking lot, score tickets from some dude for $25 each, party it up at DMB! They did a live cover of Pink Floyd's "Money", and a Beatles song that I didn't know the name of, SO SICK!

Take the longest most rediculious way home, get more beer, load up a backpack hop on the longboards and hit up the parking garages for a couple hours. Longboarding with a beer in hand is hilariously fun!

I cant see you needing that set up if youre going to ski mostly at Killy and around that area. But if you do head up towards Burlington and whatnot theres a bunch of slides you can skin to. Other than that..meh not so much.

Either way Im sure Ill be seeing you at killy and I'll definitely show you around

If you two ladies dont start playing nice I'll have to bust out the admin panal and lay a smackdown :P
