The examiner pwnd about a third of the class haha theres only 3 types of calculators that are allowed to be used in exams, everyone with the wrong calculator got them confiscated, even the little pocket ones that you get inside diaries haha they woulda been screwed, we had to manually do a viability report (think spreadsheet and lots of decimal multipliers) thank god I remembered to bring the right calculator

After a long ardous process after my old graduating high school effed up bigtime twice, I finally got everything in line, and my official acceptance letter to GMC will be sent out on Monday.

Effing good news. Now I just need to figure out how the hell to pay for that shit. Hahaha

super stoked my boss just hooked me up with some data to do my longboard mapping side project...woo!

now i'll hopefully be able to map all the streets in my city in 3d (with slope) and query them to find sweet routes and shit!

yeah I could screenshot the end result to show you guys if I can get it to work properly...ArcGIS is pretty nifty software i tell you!

^ That was excellent.

Also, I saw Corteo by Cirque du Soleil last night. It was awesome. I've seen them before, one called Varekai, and it was quite different, which is cool. Both made me want to run off and join the circus though, the things they can do are un-fucking-believable. They now have 4 different shows in Vegas, I gotta do that up sometime soon.

Tell me about it.

I already have some too, and all I took was one semester.

Lame, but better than other loans because they are dirt cheap, and an investment.

I hope I don't get hosed though. I just turned 23, and I think I have to file for FAFSA with my parents info included despite the fact that they haven't claimed me as dependent since 2004, and I am 100% on my own. I'll likely get hosed this year because of that. Next year will be good though. Married, low joint income.

Be sure and get those tax refunds that come as the hope credit and lifetime learning credit.

I think it is the hope credit that allows you the first two years of school to get back dollar for dollar on education expenses up to like 2 or 3 grand.

the gf's parents got us tickets for when they are here in the fall.

Seen 2 shows before and they are incredible. takes skill and athleticism to a whole different level

Obama wants to streamline the fafsa process, because apparently the government already has all our info, they just make us resubmit it. Bastards.

I could care less about the form and that short bit that it will take. It's moreso the fact that I will be completely screwed over.

I just turned 23 years old, have not been claimed as a dependent since 2004. I provide for myself 100% and manage my own life, yet uncle fucking sam says that because I was 22 for the past tax year, I should still rely on my parents to pay for my education.

Why the hell should some poor kid get a free ride to school, yet I get stuck with a boatload of debt upon the completition of school just because my family has worked hard to better themselves financially?

I am totally bringing down the stoked thread, so I best stop.

I haven't eaten much today, and I got family meal waiting for me at work. Hope it's good! And have plans to go out afterwards. Good shit.

tax free $$ too haha! Got the website job without even meeting up with the people. Gonna be a sweet website.. country music performer.. yeehaw!

Stoked because my summer place is sweet and work is going really well. My job foreman doesn't want me to be working too hard and does pretty much everything on his mini ex while I watch for $29/hr. On thursday I got to mess around for half an hour on the equipment too, so that was kind of fun.

I'm also really looking forward to more bike races this summer, they're going to be awesome. I've already started riding with the head trail guy and one of the fastest guys at the mountain, so I'll be getting lots better and giving input on all the new trails too. I can't wait for Silveroxx in mid-July!

so, i started my job this week. i'm working in a kitchen for the first time in my life and so far, so good. we started Monday with orientation of the club (it's a summer joint, so all the staff did orientation together), i had Tuesday off, then worked the rest of the week. i was hired on as a daytime dish washer, but by Thursday (my third day of work) i was promoted to evening salad chef. i have no experience at all and literally just started in the dish tank on Wednesday, but i guess they think i'm kinda ok. so, i got a raise, a new uniform (chef's jacket and pants instead of dish washer garb), better hours, and i have people working under me... people who have been doing this for a couple years. well, i ain't skeer'd, so this summer should be a lot of fun and hopefully i'll get a ton of experience and a good job reference when i leave.

also, i'm convinced i need to move to Vegas at the end of the summer. i was afraid of the drugs (i LOVE drugs, like L-O-V-E drugs, like i want to marry them and have their babies), the alcohol, and the women, but i think i can handle the pressures and get down to business. my dad's host at the Venetian/Palazzo- one of the highest paid, most well-respected, and juiciest hosts in Vegas- told me last time i was out there that he thought i could make him look like an amature, and while that's humbling, it's also motivating... when i was fawning about whether or not to go out there, he told my dad he was "extremely disappointed" i might not be making the move. it appears to be a golden opportunity to really do something with my life and have the support of some seriously influential people (people who seem to want me out there more than i want to be out there), so i'm trying to take this as seriously as possible and really plan everything out.

so, maybe the 6000 sq ft house, 6 car garage (full, of course), pool, hot tub, a closet full of designer suits and AirForce 1s, and enough money to wipe my ass with isn't so far-fetched afterall...

apprehensively stoked... but stoked, nonetheless.
