Thunderstorms never came about So i did my first day of White water Kayaking ever. Shit is pretty intense! Learned how to surf the kayak on a wake/wave 1st try everything was good for about a minute until my boat wiped around and I capsized it was shallow so I ejected instead of trying to roll in a current something I haven't done yet.
After the white water I drove to a spot closer to my house but further down the river and went bass fishing out of my Kayak. Sport fishing in a Dagger should be an extreme sport! Even the casts when I would reel in the line using a 3/8 spinnerbait the boat would point where my line was coming from. I caught a small bass didn't put up much a fight but I went at the worst time of the day at my favorite honey hole. I want to go back and catch some that will pull me around and post it online.

where were you paddling? Champlain I am assuming if you were in town. yeah its really low, careful where you get flipped. You also seemed to have learned your first move. Getting flipped sideways unexpectedly is called a WindowShade.

Yeah I went to Champlain. After flipping and realizing just how shallow it was like a 1/4 of a blade I decided not to fuck around trying to roll out in the current. I ejected and down the rapids trying not to catch myself on any of the rocks. I figured out how to push propel my kayak in, instead of trying to swim it to shore.
I was practicing my rolls afterwards and found it much much easier to roll now that I added a float bag (bladder) to the back of my kayak is that normal?

The float bag does nothing for your rolling ability, its really when you blow your roll that it helps. trying to empty a full boat in current to tow back to shore sucks, at least with a bag theres some floatation in the boat itself

No work on friday, so I got to swim, bike, and ski (yes, ski...with chairlifts and stuff) all weekend. Utah is sweet.
My brother just got back into NC this morning from FL. His wounds are healing pretty good per the doctor. He's got the cunt out of the house, heading to JAG to get the papers filed on the separation and letting them know EVERYTHING that happened including his superior officer lying to the cops. Finally something good is coming from all of this. Then he'll be home in 2 days he'll be home in RI! SCORE
