The Stoked Thread

because the hotties get jobs at party bars where the beer is neither cheap, nor extremely good, but they make the most tips there so that's where they go, take it from me, i used to bartend

Rain will be changing to snow tonite with 1-2 inches accumulating and snow showers tomorrow.

Possible strong lake effect this weekend with a strong cold front.

Annnnnd, I had an awesome breakfast this morning with the fiance. We made some incredible apple-cinnamon pancakes, hazelnut coffee, and then I drank one of those huge 16.9oz cans of Redbull. I'm flying right now. So much energy.

The bar I work at?

Both.

And I get paid to be there. And when I'm not getting paid everything (which was cheap to begin with) is even cheaper. It pretty much rules. The only problem is it's quite crowded 90% of the time.

i finaly got to ski whooooo, i went on thursday morning at mt bachelor before thanksgiving lunch and again at meadows on sat and sunday! boy am i happy?

oh ya even more stoked: more snow is coming!!!!!!!! most likely 10 inch max tonight but it might be 6, but its still better than nothing. the forecast for the rest of the week is SNOW!

There's a snow advisory for 4-10" in the mountains tomorrow, SCORE!

And I'm taking a basic avalanche class this week so I can be a certified mediocre backcountry partner!

I'm just taking the class to brush up on my rescue skills, which have become rusty because thankfully I haven't had to use them. I understand how to avoid/trigger slides, do minor control work, and know some of the snow pit stuff, but that's because I do it all the time. None of my partners seem to get buried so I can come save the day, the assholes!

I second that. I drank red wine, then 151 chased by milk. They all mixed up in my stomach to create the worst taste known to man. I can't drink 151.

Wooo!

SIGNIFICANT LAKE EFFECT SNOW IS POSSIBLE FROM LATE THURSDAY

AFTERNOON THROUGH FRIDAY AS MUCH COLDER AIR FILTERS INTO THE REGION.

WHILE IT REMAINS TOO EARLY TO BE SPECIFIC ON EXACT LOCATION OR

INTENSITY...FORECAST WIND DIRECTION APPEARS TO FAVOR AREAS FROM SKI

COUNTRY INTO THE WESTERN SOUTHERN TIER...BUT THE LAKE EFFECT SNOW

MAY OCCASIONALLY DRIFT INTO THE MORE DISTANT SOUTHERN SUBURBS OF

BUFFALO AS WELL.

THERE IS A CHANCE OF A MORE WIDESPREAD SIGNIFICANT SNOWFALL FROM

SUNDAY AFTERNOON INTO MONDAY AS A LARGE STORM SYSTEM MOVES OUT OF

THE SOUTHERN PLAINS AND UP THE EASTERN SEABOARD. THERE IS A HIGH

DEGREE OF UNCERTAINTY WITH THE TRACK OF THIS SYSTEM GIVEN THE TIME

RANGE.

Wooo!

Winter weather advisory for tonite for snowfall and heavy winds, just a few inches, and frigid windchills with lows nearing the teens.

And a Lake Effect Snow WATCH has been issued for Thursday morning thru Friday evening with preliminary accumulations of a foot or more in places, mainly ski country (the term for the hills south of Buffalo where the ski areas are).

Wait, he tells you happy b-day in a section of a thread. But I dedicate a WHOLE thread to you, and he gets the honor? That sucks.

What do I have to be happy about? I'm apparently over this fucking cold, jesus that sucked. Also, this current storm cycle dropped some percipitation, so on Friday....

GOING TO MT BAKER WITH HELLA NS'ERS TO ENJOY 17"+ FRESH.

To be honest, the NS'ers part scares me the most, we'll have to see. But fuck yeah, busting out the pow skis for the second day of operation at Mt Baker. Sure, its worth missing school. Sure, its worth the 4 hour drive. Sure, its worth me paying for a lift ticket, which throws my monthly budget I've made to curb spending into complete disarray.

And we all know its completely worth it. I'm ready to fucking ski already.

Stoked that I bagged bambi's mom on tuesday, so I will be dining on venison throughout the winter months. Busy over the next two weeks so I don't think I'll get back out for a chance at a buck.

Gross dead animal pics available upon request.

Lake Effect snow watch still in effect for severe snow squalls setting up starting tomorrow morning...

haha thanks for the offer but im gonna pass. i see enough of that stuff on the highway every day.

mmmmmm free road burger. No really I'm not one of those people who picks up road kill. Well sometimes for fur or feathers for fly tying.

My buddy got one like that last year, it was so hick it's almost unbelievable. One was hit two cars ahead of him and he just happened to have his shotgun from goose hunting earlier. Dude dipatched the thing right on the side of the road without calling anyone, then took it home and butchered it in the backyard of his rowhome.

umm...yeah...so....anyways

i just tried deer jerky that my aunt and uncle from down south sent me. talk about goooooooood. has a hint of nutmeg or cinnamon or something in it. ohhh yeah

haha nuts...i have never gone hunting in my life or shot any kind of guns either haha...someone take me?

anyways i now have heat running! got it fixed like 30 min ago!

also...snow forecast for tonight is 13 inches BITCHES!!! with even more snow the rest of the week!

im such a post whore right now!

I just presented my architecture final today and it went really well, then I found out I have a 234/235 in my other architecture class so I'm STOKED!

Belleayre was awesome today! The top of Mohawk was open and it was all velvety, soft and hilly. It was great. Bottoms were okay, as long as you stayed to the side. Good work out! And I took some pics. I'll post some soon.

They also have the bottoms of Onteroa and Wanatuska open (also Mohawk, the trail that was open Friday). The have all the boxes set up at the bottom of Wanatuska, and the very top of it should be open this weekend too.

nice good job man....when i was a freshman i wasn't a great presenter, but of course as the years gone by i learned a lot and became a better presenter it always seems that the reviewers 90% of the time liked my project, dead serious....

I'm actually a pretty shitty presenter, but my idea was really easy to show with a little explaining. It wasn't something that only made sense to me, fortunately. I had one critiquer ask me questions until I couldn't answer one, but I called him out because it was a petty detail.
