Im stoked that my babies just arrived in Latham this morning! Yayyy, I'll be getting them mounted this week and be riding them on Saturday. This is going to be a kick ass week...now if I could only do all of this without working...mmmmm
 
Lake Effect snow warning for oday thru tomorrow.

Over a foot of wet, heavy snow possible by tomorrow AM with snowfall rates of 2+ inches per hour possible in the heaviest part of the band.
 
If we see 10+ inches of snow, you'll see a mini TR of me hiking solo, and earning some turns on my 550' vertical mole-hill tomorrow morning.

I'm right on the edge of the band now, and it goes from sunny, the light snow, to all out blizzard every few minutes. HUGE wet snowflakes too.

Woo hoo! I fell asleep last night listening to the rain falling on my back porch and hoping that it was snowing somewhere at higher elevation...maybe further north...maybe Jay? Anything at Bellayre in early November is certainly a gift!

I think I changed my mind about moving to Banff. Laax, Switzerland, makes a lot more sense. It would be even cheaper with our strong dollar. Plus, its way more gnar!!! Some of the best parks and pow out there. Ow!
 
Same thing happened with my Tornadoes last season. Pretty standard delay with oversized stuff like skis. Don't worry, you'll have them before the snow starts to stick.
 
haha i talked the owner of the store i work at to start carrying dakine and burton, and holden, i'm psyched cause holden is the shit, and all the little rich college girls are gunna go ape shit over the burton bomber jackets we're getting in, and we'll be the only store in town with burton outerwear

And Bob, the thing is they are not oversized at all and I need these before the weekend. Scratch that I need them today so I can get them mounted in time to ski on Saturday. Normally Id be like yea whatev but Saturday is my only day free. I gotta work Sunday for a couple of hours.

nah there aren't any hobos in holyoke, but there aren't even any in noho anymore, the cops got rid of them all, plus the winters coming so they move to like florida or something, but the one in hadley (near umass) is doing well now that there's a panera bread next to it

on another note one of my friends just informed me that her and her husband bought a kick ass conversion van with the works and said they'll let me rent it out during the winter. haha yes!

Oh man, I passed on of those about 9 years ago and it freakin hurt like hell! The Doc told me that it's pretty much the same pain a woman has giving birth. Honestly, I was empathic enough without having to experience it personally! But the morphine was amazing...almost made it worth it. Feel better soon man!
 
My boss had a meeting up at hte airport today and offered to pick them up for me. So they should be here shortly. Im not happy with DHL though. My babies have been sitting in their warehouse since yesterday because they didnt want to drive down here to deliver them until they had something else that needed to go to Albany. Are you kidding me? Thats the lamest shit ive ever heard! What if those were kidneys or something? Ya gonna wait two extra days! Bastards I tell you!
 
YES THEY JUST ARRIVED! And unfortunately my boss didnt deliver them so I hope hes not stuck up at their warehouse right now. Fuck that would so suck for me.

I think Im going to buy some invaders now too! Im addicted
 
Still snowing lightly.

Couldn't get any turns in this morning though as the heavy accumulations were to the south more and I couldn't fit in the drive, hiking, and getting to work on time still.
 
i didn't either, i'm sure some of my ski buddies got it so i'll just cop it from them for a little bit
 
Listening to Blood for Blood - "Livin' in Exile" which is an ultimate pump up song for me. That song, and getting stoked to ski go hand in hand.
 
I finish uni for the year in 5 hours 50 minutes... fyck yea! keg party tomorrow night.. haven't drunk hard for over a month woopwoop!
