The Stoked Thread

niiiice..

Always loved that jacket - if its the one i'm thinking of, Candide always used to wear it

im so pumped that the seahawk game is actually going to be on TV tomorrow, it's rare for the colorado area to do this, cause they have a law so that no other football game can be aired while the broncos are playing (and losing, hehe).

Yeah. it was the jacket he was wearing in the "How To Scratch" promotional DVD you got if you bought Scratch skis. I should try to find a picture online somewhere.

I love the jacket. It's not the best as far as waterproofing, only 5,000mm but for $50, who cares!

It's that jacket. Same colors, except it looks more geen in person.

It seems a lot of people are having this problem (myself included). For now, host of Photobucket or something cause I wanna see these pics!

I'm stoked on Boston being up 2-0 in there series, and up 2-0 in the 6th right now.

But I'm more stoked on winning a pair of 192 Thugs last night. Fuck yeah!

Rockies and CU are doing well (although the broncos are playing like ass) so I am stoked for that. Hopefully CU can keep playing well and win the Big 12 North.

and the Rockies should beat the D-backs. I expect the Sox to probably kick their ass if the Rockies do make it to the World Series, but at least we made it. Big difference from the past 15 years of shit and more shit.

i know right!!! i was a bit surprised to hear that but thats steinbrenner for you. i hate the skankees and all but thats joe torre...he IS yankee. you know what i mean? either way i just hope the fuckin skankees blow it tonight....about the same way arod blows jeter every night before a game. bwahhahaha

i want them to drag it out a bit, break down each other so that they're morale is broken down and they're tired

Stoked that there was a blood drive at work today, and I donated which chewed up an hour and half of time at work.

Also stoked on the dizziness that I have going on from speed donating and pushing that shit out as fast as I could.

w00t!

+1 for natural high.

‫‬‭‮‪‫‬‭‮҉I'm stoked that I found this silly little control............ dumb... can't wait to spam some forums !!!

That took me a good full minute to read that. It just messes with your head bigtime.

‫‬‭‮‪‫‬‭‮҉Really? I think it's quite easy to read.

My brain wants to jump back to normal reading left to right if I don't focus, and I'm at work, not focusing.

Oh, and you can't quote it!

I didn't know which thread to stick this in, as I'm feeling stoked and not stoked at the same time. Stoked because I just dropped my daughter of for her first day of preschool.

Not stoked, cause she seemed to be handling it well (she's is very shy) until it came time for me to leave. Then things went downhill and we had to do the whole, teaching scooping her up and me running out the door before I burst into tears.

But, I'm happy she's out there making new friends and being social. Hopefully becoming less shy as they days go on. And I'm proud of myself for not crying. I almost did, but I fought it! :)

My fiance worked at a daycare center for years while going thru school.

Kids would cry only when their parents were leaving. It's for the attention. They always stopped as soon as the parent was gone.

She will gain a ton of social experience from it, and it's awesome.

You should be WAY stoked, not on the fence.

Oh god, I can so relate to this! I remember this exact thing happening and how it felt. It get's easier for her. For you, no promises. But that's where the pain and pleasure of watching them grow up meet.

Anyway, trust me, within 5 minutes she was probably playing with a new friend and forgot all about you not being there and how long you'd been gone. When you pick her up later on today it is going to be one of the most wonderful feelings - I envy you :)

Ahh thanks Steve! This post actually made me feel better. Shrugging off the whole "not stoked" feeling. Hehe :)

I don't know if it's really for attention. Some perhaps, but I recall my own feelings of being lost, confused and abandoned in kindergarten - back then there was no such thing as daycare - you're whole world was ripped away unceremoneously at age 5. I remember crying and having anxiety about what was going to happen next. But then I was given a puzzle to do to keep me busy and next thing I knew I was making a friend and being simulated to grow socially - funny how crystal that memory still is. In no time at all this will feel very routine to her and she will start becoming her own person. You might be in for a shock at first - prepare yourself to be supportive and hide your sense of loss. It's definitely a good thing in the long run for her and you.

Maybe the first day is a bit of shock, but they get over it VERY quickly, and anytime after is usually attention-driven.

She saw it all the time with kids acting out and being disruptive ONLY when their parents were around.

Ok guys, I'm sure she's fine. I'm just worried cause she's shy. She's not huddled in a corner and she's not acting out. She's having a good day, otherwise I would get a phone call. Bahhhhh!

Stoooooooooooooooked that my daughter was dropped off at school this morning, with no issues :)

Bear hug, kiss, "Bye Mom!" - yay!

Stoked.

Went for a ride last evening, and for the first time this fall, there was that crisp air, fall smell, and the burn in the lungs that makes you cough when you breath in the cool air.

Also, there a chance of snow showers on Friday night!!!

crazy northeastern weather, oh i'm stoked that my brother just got stationed at whidbey island and asked me to move out there with him soo i'll be shredding up baker within a year

Stoked my November Freeskier was in my mailbox when I was leaving for work this afternoon.

Lunch-time will fly by today!

I wish I were going to Freshtival.

I'm leaving for Walt Disney World tomorrow. Kind of not stoked on spending a lot of dough to go to Disney, but it's a surprise birthday celebration for my Dad. He's turning 70. All he knows is he and my mom are going away tomorrow. I'm dropping them off at the airport then parking the car and hopping on the flight ninja style. He'll be surprised to see me either on the flight or when we get off the flight. Friday my sister with her husband and my niece will show up along with my brother and his wife and son. Already having spent $1k before getting there is lame, but my dad is going to be stoked to have his kids, grandkids, and wife with him in Florida to chill out for a few days so I'm stoked on that.

Also stoked on that fact that I have two brownies left which means a fun day tomorrow and another fun day Saturday with my family. That, and my brother-in-law will drink with me hoooray. And work is busy as fuck so a few days off is going to be really good for me mentally.

Hey, you know what they say about "priceless" on the Visa commercial, right? This is actually a really nice thing you guys are doing. He's going to be so happy I bet he sheds teas of joy. Kudos.

Jeez, am I the only one getting some stoke these days?
