Ahahaha, that was the most thorough and productive mod ownage I have ever seen. Props. Despite the fact that I am not really a whiskey guy at all, I have found myself ordering Jameson on the rocks quite a bit lately...

And were people really recommending Grey Goose in there? That is honestly one of the worst liquors I have ever drank, and I cannot comprehend how they charge so much for it. Fucking NS!

The funniest part of that thread was the kid that was like, "buy goldschlager but be careful because it tastes like MINT and I've been throwing up mint all morning and if I smell something mint I feel soo sick." I'm a beer guy personally so I probably didn't have the most intelligent input, but boy did that thread get out of hand fast

I think that was the same fucker who reccommended patrom as good rum. I just lost it....

Everything I said is still legit though. tito's vodka - check that shit.

If you like bakers, I highly suggest trying the other ones I listed. All different tasting and sooooo good.

Booker's is probably my favorite bourbons. It is a cask strengh (126 proof) so a lot need a bit of water with it, but god damn it is money.

Bakers is also awesome, definitely top 5. So easy to drink and soooo smooth. If you like Baker's the other bourbon I usually reccommend is basil haydens. Another super smooth and easy to drink bourbon. Neither have the kick of booker's, but they both make me happy.

Blanton's is pretty good, too. Not a huge fan of knob creek. I think it is decent, but not the best. And if you can find it, george t stagg or papie van winkle are delicious.

Quoted for correct spacing. And wow do I forget to type out complete thoughts early in the morning.

That is what you get when posting on NS first thing before even leaving bed.....

Ive already made a small list of the others that you listed, so thank you :)

I need to find this potato vodka that I had about a month ago at my dads house. I cant recall the name but it was so damn smooth. Def a sipping vodka if there is such a thing

Come party with caylor and me. Last time he was down here we finished up around 7am with some buffalo trace and russell's reserve rye. Of course I don't remember much of this.....

Looks like another sunny day up here on the Hood (hope I didn't just jinx it) - Iggy, Rowen and Caylor picked a good day to visit.

I have no idea....none of the shows I want to see are really blues related. Though alot of the blues stuff is pretty enjoyable to watch between the headline acts

montreal's 4 hours, ottawa's a little over 5.... not too bad!

buttttt this is from the guy who was driving rochester > VT all winter. ~6hrs min, so i might be a little used to it haha

mt gay is good, but sailor jerry's is better. not only is it the most delicious rum ever made, but it is 92 proof. mix it with some sprite and a few ice cubes; perfect drink for any occasion.

i'm stoked for the 80 degree sunshine and the free michael franti show in downtown slc tonight. anyone else going to be there?

rum and sprite? hmmm must try that

normally the only time I have rum is when its in a mojito...even then most bartenders around here fuck that up

it is great. the key is to get it a nice caramel color so that you can taste the delicious spices in the rum.

plus, it doesn't give you gutrot like mixing with coke or pepsi, so you can drink them all night long

Passed my drug test!!!!! And it I used someone else's clean urine to do so, I love outsmarting the system. Had my orientation today for Home Depot and found out that I will be able to work 30-35 hours a week, instead of the 15-20 I originally thought they were gonna have me work. Super stoked

Had my first flight in one of these today:

I haven't flown at all in almost a year and you could definitely tell...I SUCKED. Plus the thing has way more power than I've ever had to deal with before. But it was definitely fun. So consider me stoked.

That's fucking crazy. I've always wanted to take flight lessons but I've just never gotten around to it. Props

We had in-class final critiques for photo today, and mine went over really well. I have everything save one image ready to present two weeks ahead of schedule, so I am feeling good right now. I just have to print one more image that wasn't quite right and will show that, contrary to popular belief, not everything I look at turns ugly.

However, I think I got on the bad side of a few of my classmates today. Apparently I was over-critical of people's work, although I was just giving an honest assesment of what worked conceptually and technically. There are some people in my class who are lacking in both these departments, and they seem to take it personally when I try to give them advice that I think is beneficial. But then again, I suppose this won't be a problem after this year.

Aside from the typical on the job injury stuff, not too much I don't think. Haven't really looked into it that much yet though.

see your goal would be to have something heavy fall on you, and be forced to take a delicate recovery course that required you to go heliskiing twice a month on their nickle. or you could wuss out and work for a living like everyone else.

but really i assume you get sweet discounts? all my money in the summer goes to home depot and lowes.

You an evacor or an evaceee?? it can def be fun to do and in the training setup is all good. Less fun when you are evacing real people on a -40 night on steep icy pitches. Done it a few too many times

my butt is not fat and squishy enough for lift evac. squattin down with one leg out and letting the rope come run under your butt. ouches.

Haha, see, I would not be excited about this. After doing them for so many years, it started to drain on me and they were no longer interesting. But stoked you're stoked! Are you in the chair or taking people out of them?

It's so difficult to tiptoe the line between giving honest and helpful feedback, and being mindful of someone's feelings. ESPECIALLY in a group setting. Very few people seem to be able to genuinely accept criticism in a public space.
I no longer attempt to offer "constructive criticism".

Our society is full of over-achieving wussies. People need realities checks so i have no problem critiquing them honestly if there work sucks :P

way too many people get by with pure crap...
