much as I'd like to go I don't think I can justify skipping 3 classes and driving 6+ hours on a car with almost 200k on it if I don't.
 
Just skied 2 weeks straight and now I've figured out how to hypnotize myself. I'm writing code, but think I'm really in That's It That's All. Wunderbar!
 
I'm about to sit down with a cup of coffee and watch Head For The Hills for the first time.

I'm stoked on that.
 
I have never bough more than 1 pair of shoes in a day. I bought 3 pairs yesterday. Just over $1,000 worth of shoes for about $600. But fuck they are awesome shoes. I do feel like in need to sit on the couch in my underwear with my hand down my pants, drinking beer, and watching hockey to regain my manliness. Oh wait, Canada is playing for the gold medal this afternoon at 4. Sweet.

Oh, and got my Christmas bonus late this year, don't have to worry about the shopping day anymore. Boo-yah!
 
HFTH was not anywhere near as good as Wanderland, and was not even as good as Snow Gods. Slightly bummed.
 
I thought the opposite. W/o sounding arrogant, it's hard for me to get into ski movies that have stuff I've skied or can ski. Compared to previous years, however, the video quality and flow were a big step up for me.

What didn't you like?
 
I thought the soundtrack sucked, and I just did not get nearly as stoked on HFTH as I did Wanderland. I didn't feel it was bad, but it was not nearly as good as I was expecting. It started slow, and the only segment I really got stoked big on was the Stowe segment.
 
just had the best six days ever. ride up the mountain in the dark, start throwing bombs at first light, take a couple pow laps, spend the rest of the day with the best girl in the world. but now the funs over and she just flew back to sac and im back on autocad.

just got black diamond pro account. baller.

 
Stoked that i've decided to head to Whistler in a few weeks time.

Totally leftfield decision which is both irrational and illogical but I think it will be good.

Just lost my job, don't have any money, already have a shitload of debt, should be looking for graduate work and haven't left much time to plan for it, but it will be great to ski again and see some mates.

Whistler seems FUCKING expensive too. Luckily i've got hookups with accomm and flights otherwise this would be running me over $10k - it would want to be a nice village for that!

and................there's been a silly big ski race comp at mission ridge the past couple days. and theyve had a run above their course closed the past couple days (strangely). today after my bombing run i was "forced" to take a run down there on my way back to the parking lot and my nerd job. deeeeep snow. as i got closer to where the spandex-clad-folk were setting up their gates i could see them stop and look up like "whos this asshole on the clearly closed run". unware that i was officially testing this dangerous ski run despite the fact that to the untrained eye i was some idiot swooping over little tress and rollers and the like. i popped out on the groomer and a couple coaches started skating towards me. i brushed off the patrol cross on my shoulder and mugged them as hard as i could. i love being arrogant sometimes. the power of the patrol jacket goes straight to my head.
 
I would get a solid template up there PRONTO and make it look pretty...... it's feelin' pretty 1994 right now.

Content-wise though, rockin' as always!

Only other tweak I'd recommend would be to center the images when you post 'em, makes the blog as a whole look a little more polished IMO....

did you tie it in with the NS blog yet? so that when you update the wordpress one it updates on NS too? I was super stoked when I found out I could do that with mine, it's quite pimp. Minus the photos not carrying over, minor detail.
 
Lange Freeride 130s on the way. Stiffer than my current boots, which is a good thing.

My 916s should show up tomorrow as well, and I'll be back on my Hellbents. We're going to do a hellbent doubles segment, and I'm stoked to make that happen.
 
the header needs to be tidied up in my opinion, it looks like its trying to give the impression of a cluttered desk, but failing because the photos are a little too 'placed' if you know what I mean.. it might look better if you put a border around the photos and cropped them a bit to make it look like polaroid photos lying on the desk.

aside from that its looking quite good. maybe go into settings and change the permalink format into month/name. that way you get a much tidier url. instead of blog/?page_id=X you have blog/title

maybe add a page for a photo/video gallery?

if you want people to be able to contact you directly from your site contact form 7 is a legit plugin.

I've just made www.bgspromotions.co.nz/ using wordpress. I didn't bother making a new theme, just modified the kubrick theme haha also did www.bkfilters.co.nz recently too. The latest relese of wordpress is dope. good luck with your blog
 
Got a new friend from work, we hit it off like that, but totally just as friends. However, she does have two roommates. I have sort of a dilemma:

Girl 1: Cute, 7/10 looks, completely unattached to anyone, talked to me a lot at New Years. Felt really bad after she went to talk with an old friend that night, and I got tired and left. Supposedly, she wanted me to stay. Obviously into me.

Girl 2: Trouble. Hot. 9/10, Indian-asian, but in a bad place. Broke up with her boy of two years ago (or is int he process of) this week because she was cheating on her next door neighbor, who I've met and is kinda a douchebag/player. We get along great, talked to her for a solid 2 hours in a bar the other night.

Acording to my sourdce on the inside, I'm rated pretty cute. My friend is pushing me towards #1 subtly. But this new development has got me thinking with #2. Cheating is a impressive stain however. Opinions anyone?
 
Generally, known cheaters = deal breaker. It wasn't like she cheated on a boyfriend of a few months. You are talking several years, so it is obvious she is not in a good place.

If you just wanna hook up and have some fun, do it. But I doubt I would expect much from it.

lately? That word doesn't exist in the Rowen world. If I had daughters or sisters in the Seattle area I would definitely tell them to watch out ;)

Jet lag makes it super easy to get up and surf at the first crack of light. Stoked.
 
Question answered. I was wondering what that loud undulating sound was that I was hearing, but it all makes sense. Word on the street is that the city of Seattle is going to invest in some stronger windows, because the proximity to the originator is too much for the glass to take.

I'm happy to be back at school. The home strech is on. 8 weeks till grad, we start our board prep class today, things are moving at lightspeed. I was told yesterday to get a flushot & a criminal records check as requirments to write the boards. Got the criminal records check done √ clean as a whistle. Have an appoinment to get my flushot tomorrow morning. Yeah-yaa! Now if i could only get focused for the exam i have this Friday.

And in other news, before the break I'd gotten a girls number from school. She was going back to Winnipeg over Christmas so I started talking to her on facebook. Turns out she has a girlfriend. When I asked her out for coffee and a comedy club she said dating other people would be out of the question. So I wrote back saying that I didn't know she was in a relationship and that the offer still stands but downgrading it to an activity partner. I'm going to use this as a foot in the door maneuver, just become friends with her, and be there for her if anything changes...Were going for coffee and a show either tomorrow night or Thursday.

I am hung over, but this is in the stoked thread because the bars were crackin last night. must be something about the first monday night back at school. oh well, time to toast a bowl and lay on the couch until my first class of the day at 1.
