The Painkiller epidemic...

i used to have hundreds of two pill oxy packets in my basement cuz my dad used to work for purdue who makes oxycontin....i coulda made bank selling them.

 
Why even brag about a stupid theoretical situation? You would get into trouble and your dad would be charged with multiple felonies, nice one.
 
about 8 of my close friends have fucked there life up cause of OC, I got pretty close to full blown addicted myself. Now they don't make OC's you can smoke or snort anymore, they make "OP's" which (to my knowledge) are gel like under the coating so you cant crush them or smoke them. This has caused thousands of kids, including people very close to me, to move on to Heroin cause it can be smoked just like Oxy used to be.

much love to all my homies struggling with these nasty addictions, i hope they wise up and kick the habit on their own soon, seeing how months of treatment and rehab did absolutely nothing for them.
 
i wasnt bragging at all about doing that, it was just thought. i was much to young to think about doing that even at the time...
 
Vibes dude. I watched my brothers best friend go from OC's to heroine. ended up stealing my bros new truck and crashing it into a ravine, very nearly killed himself and totaled the truck. Another one overdosed on heroine and died. My brother lives with me and my parents and he's 25 because he spends all his money on beer and pills. It's fucked up.

This pill popping waste of life walked into a pharmacy in Medford NY (my hometown) and executed 4 people and stole 8,000 oxy's. he didnt have to kill them they were told that if they ever got robbed to just give the shit up. But instead an 18 year old girl was killed 4 days before her senior prom, a 76 year old man, a 36 year old mother who was getting married in 2 months (her husband was sitting outisde in the car while it happened) and another customer. 2 of which this piece shit shot in the back of the head. All so no one would recognize him.
 
My one friends older brother started doing pills, then moved to heroin and coke and got his younger brother (my friend) hooked on pills and coke. Its a shame, they're both smart kids. The older brother went to fordham for a year then dropped out to focus on getting clean.

His younger brother got arrested again for breaking into cars for money and was put in juvy. He escaped, (somehow, hes a smart kid) but was later caught and placed in a higher security juvenile detention center.

Pills fucks shit up. I know tons of people who started on pills thinking it was nothing that are stuck on heroin now.

so if kids are reading this, take our advice and just stay away from this shit period. im not saying everyone who does a pill is gonna end up a valueless waste of life cause that's not true but it is NOT a good scene, period
 
If someone had a bat to my head for a zip I would just get up and beat the hell out of them. It's a bat, not a gun? And who would do that to their friend for a zip anyways?

Seriously sucks. A real good friend of mine does percs and oxys. doesnt seem like she does much but sometimes i feel like shes lying about how much she actually does. It sucks because these things really bring out the worst in people..

the worst part of it all is how easy is to deal these things. scoring any kind of pill is almost as easy as scoring weed in college. ive casually pushed addies in college and its easy as fuck. since pills are legal you always have an excuse if you were to get caught to some extenet
 
i've seen a lot of people including my self tweak the fuck out on it. The effects it has on your stomach/ appitite is astonishing. i lost 40 pounds two summers ago when i was taking them everyday. On the long term they made me a tweak, so recently i've been selling mine, and only taking them once in a while.. since they're less addicting and less dangerous they're less of a probem in the public eye. but at least in my school, they are wayyy more frequently abused/sold than oxy's
also, anyone here have had experiences with benzos (klonopen/xanax/seroquel etc.)?
 
I've done xanax a few times, pretty fun but I'm wary of any pills so I don't do it very often.

And have you tried Vyvanse? My friend just got his prescription changed from Adderall to Vyvanse and he likes it way better. His behavior is a little better and it seems like he doesn't crash as hard when coming off.
 
That's the problem I see with all pills. There is not enough recreational value in them to start doing them. The cons heavily outweigh the pros.
 
Speaking of epidemic.

Walgreens won't fill my fucking ritalin prescription because they say my doctor is being investigated by walgreens corporate.

He also writes prescriptions for pot and I am 317% for sure that walgreens is hating on him and being critical of his practice.

FUCKING EPIDEMIC GOD DAMNIT.

ive had some pretty dark times before, got way to into mdma and some other stims, took some painkillers from time to time, but honestly the worst thing i ever got into was dexidrine. Its pretty similar to adderal, but instead of a racemic mixture of amphetamine, it is just pure dextroamphetamine. It was way too easy to get it from my doctor, it really scares me to know that they hand it out just as easily to little kids. In the states they even have an add drug called desoyxn which is literally pure pharmaceutical methamphetamine. Any kind of amphetamines like that can get real scary

i felt some of the onsetting effects of amphetamine psychosis...scary scary stuff, never want to go there again

so all that being said, in no way am i advocating opiod painkillers as they are very addictive, but at the same time they do not cause nearly as much physical damage as the drugs that parents are gladly buying their children. There is definitely an epidemic of painkiller addiction, but i think a bigger problem that goes unspoken of far too often is this up and coming generation of speed freaks.
 
haha, actually what take/sell is actually vyvanse (60 mg 12 hr release aka the fucking danks). usually when i talk about vyvanse i refer to it as adderall. my friend who takes focalin always slips into the habit of calling it adderal too, just cause most of the people who i give it to dont really know or care what the difference is.
yeah it makes sense that he doesnt crash as hard cause vyvanse is twelve hour realease, which is def longer than 60mg of adderal would last. but at times you would feel 60mg harder.
however, if i could, i would take adderal instead. it's more fun than vyvnase, which, like focalin is often billed to kids and people with "history of substance abuse". vyvanse is modified to be safer; it is realeased through the liver so you cant blow it. and your liver stops metabolizing it earlier than it would if you took it up your nose so crazy high doses dont feel so high.
so in short, as a medication Vyvanse is probably better, but i prefer Adderal as a recreational drug

I was on percocet when I broke my collarbone and it fucked with my life. couldnt take a shit for like 3 weeks after and it was bad
 
To clear up the oxycotton thing they still make them (op's) but they have a coating on them that if you attempt to smash the pill to shoot or snort it the coating releases a chemical that makes the pill gel up and it ends up in like a gummy subtance that cant be snorted or shot. I'm not sure if the pill is effective if it is swallowed after it gels but im pretty sure it is. I'm not sure if you can smoke them because i have never tried smoking a pill or shooting one.
And I've never really fucked with OC's because they weren't around when I started experimenting with pills. But I've heard Oxy's are the most addictive and powerful. They also make Opana which is often confused with OP's(oxys) but they are actually stronger then Oxys.
 
okay, well the OP talked about the fact that it's a huge problem, and to be careful and look out for friends on them etc. then a lot of us have agreed, shared our reasoning, and offered more warnings about the shit pills can lead to. the point of the thread is spreading important information...
