during the rox series all they did was talk about how good the diamond backs were and phillies were.  I heard plenty of positive stuff they said about the sox.  they did talk about the rox more though.

This thread has turned into a big claiming session for boston fans.  fun stuff!

before '04 i was able to go to basically any game and buy tickets. i remember getting a ticket with my dad and one of my brothers on the 1st base side right below the upper deck for $17 a piece.

ahh those were the days. hahaha
 
I don't doubt that I've watched more Sox games this season than you've watched Rox games.
 
Time will tell. Yea, we lost BAD last night. Man, that was a blowout. There is still plenty of time to make something happen. The Rockies want it bad. So, time will tell. It's the WS, anything can happen!
 
i will wait to see that happen, sure didn't seem like they wanted it bad last night, with beckett's 9 strike outs, and your pitching just not holding up

Ya the home field advantage must be huge too, the noise is amazing from the crowd even on TV. Lots of boos and cat calling toward the away pitcher. Boston fans must be relentless, they cut to a shot of the Rox bullpen last night and there was a cop in there with the other pitchers. This hostile fan mentality doesn't surprise me but then again I grew up with Philly sporting events.
 
Man, you guys are really confident that they will win huh. Interesting, you think that they will win cause of one game.
 
i was at the game last night, alcs game 7 was soooooo much better, crowd was sooo much rowdier, but whatev, it was still sick being there and seeing the sox absolutely rape the rockies and put them in their place. i really hope it comes back to fenway so i can go to game 6 though.

Oh I agree. You guys destroyed our pitching forsure. On the Rox behalf, we were rusty, anyone that plays sports knows that a week break can throw you off a little. I guess tonight will tell, if you blow us out again I dunno man. Shoot.
 
we dont think that they will win because of one game. we think they will win because of how the sox have played the the season and how they played in the postseason.
 
i dont know why all you rockies fans think you can compete with us. after we beat you with a washed up old pitcher that cant even hit 90 anymore maybe that will change your minds. you have ONE player with world series experience, you had a sick run, but were just out of your league.
 
Again with the homefield advantage, I would be surprised if the sox can blow em out like that in CO.

I forgot they got a week off, but does that mean they don't practice or anything?? Have their players really been doing nothing but sitting on their butt for a week???
 
Practice and live play are two different things. Also, a few days they could not do much outside due to the amount of snow that we had in Denver.
 
Sounds like excuses to me. Maybe I'm just jealous cause you have snow already.

Really I don't care, I have no deep seeded love for any professional sports team. I just enjoy sport so much that when any type of professional sport goes into playoffs and championships I can't help but watch, usually these are the best games to watch anyway. Don't get me wrong I follow local sport enough to be able to participate in conversation but I could really care less. I'm not what you would call a fan I guess.

dude just give it up.. you claimed that rox were gonna sweep.. they lost 13 - 1.. then, you claim they are gonna win tonight.. and i'm sure even if the rockies lose tonight.. you'll come back in here and claim that the rox will win the next one.

im going in to the game tonight excpecting a much closer game

rockies bats will probably do a lot of damage against schilling, and of course we have seen wat our disgusting line up can do agaisnt the rockies so called "lights out bullpen", i am just nervous that the sox got it all out of there systems last night and wont put up a run tongiht, i think they are far too hot to do that tho

most people in this thread want there team ,who ever it is, to win, but they manage to not make an ass of themselves. and you have posted way to many times in this thread. on this page alone, you have like 15 posts.
 
Don't everybody bomb on this guy for supporting his team. After all the sox fans on here will look silly if the rox turn the tables tonight.

No one should tell this guy not to be posting in here that's for sure, after all shit talking is a big part of why this thread was created in the first place. Or maybe no shit talking in here as this is the "Official" WS thread, but it's a big part of sports anyways.(Sp?? Gramm??)
 
Why would we look silly? I don't recall us boating about a sweep. We may express our hope that we will sweep, but I don't believe we said that its going to happen. I called this series in 6 since sunday, and even after the blowout last night I fail to agree with the "professional" baseball pundits who are still calling this for the Sox in 5. The closest thing to a sure thing you can say about this series is game 1 and game 5 will be wins for the sex, cause Beckett is that good. Everything else is a crapshoot. Although another near sure-thing is Youkilis' beard kicks the crap out of Helton's. lol
