this series is completely about playing the best baseball both teams can play. it's not about rivals, huge teams, and the such. i'm pumped to see what the rockies can throw at us! both teams are not what youd expect in the series (well sox until the past couple years and rockies being underdogs)

im still a sox fan allllllllll the way though!

even if you're a die-hard rockies fan, you have to admit that this is true.

it makes it even cooler that they made it to the series in a way, but you're gonna get some shit for that no matter what.

uhh, they walked three batters AND three runs in. Still probably the first time ever. But hurts. Hurts so good. Yes, a lot of us Boston fans are cocky, but precious few of us were dumb enough to call for a sweep. I'm kinda glad we kicked the living shit out of the rookies today, despite it being against my hometown boy Francis, it should you cocky bandwagon jumpers up and let us get back to some real baseball. Here's to a even series from now on, Denver will definitely be a test for the Sox (though Beckett will take game 5).

ive watched and loved the rockies since my first game i went to in 93. i get so annoyed when people tell me im hoping the band wagon. sox played a good game im not gonna lie. rockies didnt bring there best stuff out today. rockies have played real baseball for the last 2 seasons now. sox are in for a surprise the rest of the series

Seriously, I fucking hate of these assclowns that have come out of the framework to support to Rockies, they can all burn in hell. However, Boston fans have absolutely no fucking room to talk about bandwagons. Nobody outside of New England was wearing Sox hats ten years ago. Not to mention that low attendance you guys had in the mid-90's when your team was shit. Admit it. You guys have been "hip" ever since 2004 and now everybody is all about sucking their dicks. Even the press are all about whoring it up for the Red Sox. Coupled with the sheer arrogance thats growing in that fanbase, you guys are tuning into Yankee Lite.
 
i know, i hate it as well, but still fox is wicked biased against the sox, that shit pisses me off when i'm watching a game, and it was nice when you could actually get tickets to a game at fenway, but you are right i completely agree, but i've been a sox fan since i could comprehend what baseball was, and make sure i make it to at least 3 or 4 games a year at fenway, i even used to make the drive down to new york to watch sox games just because it was so hard to get tickets in boston, but i hate the people who have just hopped on red sox nation, but part of the reason people like them so much is because they are the anti-yankees, they're scruffy unshaven and fun to watch, and i will be so bold as to state that people who are always yelling about their payroll need to shut the fuck up, they have some great talent in they're AAA system and 2 great rookies this year (pedroia, ellsbury) but it's a romance that will not last forever, but i will forever be a die hard sox fan to the grave
 
On the topic of the game, I expected Colorado to lose that game. Considering Boston's ace has been untouchable in the postseason, our lack of runs is not expected. It's the bullpin that really crapped the bed tonight. That was an inexcusable performance form our pitchers and I dare say Tampa could have done a better job. Still a lot of baseball to be played though, and no one is going to sweep here.
 
i don't want to jinx anything, but the rocks got fucking chiseled tonight. but they've got to be rusty, it's been awhile since they've played a game, they had a long break. we'll see what happens when they warm up, but hopefully we'll stay warmer!
 
You're joking. I thought they couldn't shut up about the Sox. Then again, the commentators were complete garbage as a whole. The commentators even said the Rockies played the Cubs and the D-Backs to get here. That goes to show you how much baseball those dipshits have been watching. So typical.

And fair enough about your level of dedication to the team. I respect that completely.
 
well fox has the contract for the yankees, so those are yankee announcers, and but they were talking about how well the rockies had been playing even though the sox were ahead, also they never have anything positive to state about the sox

Thank you! I hate showing up to White Sox v Red Sox Games and Twins v. Red Sox games in the midwest and having half the place packed with Red Sox wearing 'nation' members, bragging about their team, either because they witnessed '04, or have a relative in Boston.

It's real lame, those of us who were Born in Boston / New England, and grew up going to fenway every chance we got, get the brut of everyone else claiming bandwagon, some of us were there in the early 90's early '00's and then there in 2004, at the games and the parade celebrating.

And to anyone who thinkgs fox isnt biased for the Rockies your crazy.
 
i feel the same way dude. i was "born into it" as they like to say. i remember clemens pitching as a rookie for christ sakes. ive always been and always will be a red sox fan. ive always taken a shit load of heat for it too....i now live in NY. but after the '04 WS I cant tell you how many people i saw sporting red sox gear...those people fuckin piss me off. they are the douches that joined the bandwagon and are complete front runners.
 
^i also agree. born in NH, i grew up rooting for the home teams, and i always will. the pats and sox are my teams because that's where i grew up. anytime somebody finds out i'm a sox/pats fan they immediately assume i've jumped on the bandwagon and accuse my teams of having too much money/cheating/being a bunch of assholes, etc. my teams have gotten amazing over the past years, and that's great because they're my teams, BUT I WAS THERE WHEN THEY ALL SUCKED SO LEAVE ME THE FUCK ALONE.
 
I do agree with this. Fucking fairweather fans dig their hats out of the closet when the sox make the playoffs and that's it. Though I'm not from Boston, I've been a Sox fan since I was 11 years old. Don't ask me how (I just liked baseball), I was 11 and I picked Boston. Been a fan ever since.
 
Is that all that the sox fans do is complain? I think that you care more about people digging out there hats than you care about them playing.
 
I am a die hard red sox fan and have been for many years before they won the world series. Anyways I have no problems with the bandwagon fans, actually I kind of like it. There is no problem with people getting into baseball and starting to follow it. Great marketing by John Henry and the owners of the sox
 
I love that we won it in 04, but it was so much damn easier to get tickets prior to that. I went from going to 10-15 games a year down to 3-4
 
they have sold out every home game since mid 2003 its horrible, it was wayy more fun when it was just a ton of drunk college kids but i love fenway cause people are so into it there i've never been to another stadium where thefans are so into it one of the sickest games i went to was when they had an inter league game against atlanta and bot teams were wearing throw back uniforms and atlanta's said boston on them
 
Boston fans sure do brag about being fans a lot, do you guys even watch a game? All I hear you talk about is how long you have been a fan and that you are not on the bandwagon.
