We can play word games all night conglomerate is more accurate. They obviously wanted the country to do well because they had investments in it. But to say they caused Germany to attack is wrong. This is the same court that executed the scientist who invented the pesticide known as zyklon b which the us itself used before the war to kill disease carry bugs on trains . To say this court was out for blood is not an extravagance.

you're missing the point. the sentences didn't matter at all since all 24 convicted were released and went to america. the whole point is the evidence still stands against farben.
 
I'm going to say they wanted headlines saying they charged everyone who was involved in zyklon b. Since the trials were equivocal to a kangaroo court the sentences would have never held up any appeals

you can continue to say that farben didn't know the gas would be for people but thats bs because they made chlorine gas in ww1 and used it on french and canadians.
 
Lol there was a lot of shit declassified 60 years later including new dog fighting footage. According to your logic these pilots used millions of dollars to cover up how ruthless they were.  I'm sure now that that the trials are delcassified I'm sure there somewhere in the national archives and they are more avalable on the Internet. You keep spouting off about paper clip. Listen under the superior orders  they would have been deemed not guilty. We have gained so much from these scientists NASA ect that letting them die or rott would have been the equivalent of the burning of th library of Alexandria or the inquisition against science.  The only reason why ig was brought to trial was because since all german men 16-45 were off  fighting they had to usedslave labor. Virtually every company including porshe vw used slave labor. Ig  bought into the company before the rise of hitler and nazi supremacy so how could they have known there were going to be death camps and have their pesticide with such little amount of cynide that it took 30 minutes to kill used. The producer of chlorine gas you are referring to Bayer ig bought after ww1 in 1925.  During the 1925 - 1930 Germany had the weakest army and weakest economy in europe. when ig bought these companies it was inconceivable that there would be another war and Germany would conquer most of Europe.

it wasn't completely about business.......you can't deny it helped improve european economies, especially with all the debts. why did western europe want financial relief, right? but that's not even comparable to paperclip.

the marshall plan was essentially an "investment" in western european anti-communism. communist movements in western europe were crushed and marginalized.

it was even worse in greece where the brits sided with the fascists and put the communist partisan heroes of the second world war in concentration camps.
