During our last parliament elections in April, we saw a huge surge racism and discrimination towards immigrants. The True Finn party went the populist route, got most of their votes from many very ignorant people, who honestly believe that all of Finland's problems will be solved by kicking out immigrants and refugees. A lot of these people had never even voted before, as they had 'no interest' in politics, but now believed that they could further their racist agenda by getting other like-minded people into parliament.
This has led to a truckload of new parliament members having a go at compiling and passing bills, while many interviews, personal histories and recent work results show that many of these people are ignorant idiots, who refuse to learn or understand our political, cultural and economic systems and work solely based on opinions stated as facts.
Example from one of them on how to turn around the downward slump of Finnish economy:
"We need to get those n*gger people out of here, and we can't have that muslim stuff, singing 'Uli Uli Uli' from some tower in the morning." This person is proud of not knowing anything about anything except being a woodcutter, and only follows the popular vote of the racist Finnish undercurrent, which now represents roughly a fifth of the Finnish people.
These are situations in a democracy, where it's hard to not try and justify minimum educational requirements or harsh, psychological tests to make it harder for these kind of people to become Congress representatives in a modern nation.
