...that list needs some serious revision.
911 is obviously an iconic sports car, and has been for years through its numerous incarnations. but unless youre specifying a certain model, you cant really use that general a statement.
miata? i dont even wanna touch that one. im gonna assume you were making a joke.
evos are great cars, and those and the sti pretty much invented that category - high-strung, bare bones, 4wd rally cars for the general public, at a very reasonable price when compared to comparable european cars. although they were available in europe for years, its worth noting. that one can be understood.
e30 m3, a car ive always had a soft spot for. but you cant overlook the complete lack of reliability that plagued that car. try to find one in drivable condition that hasnt has some serious maintenance in its lifetime. its next to impossible. as far as impressive machinery, of course they are. but if were gonna go that era and base it completely on performance, the audi sport quattro s1 was leaps and bounds beyond the m3, and most other cars of its time.
f355 is a v8 ferrari. real ferraris have v12s. why do you think some people still refuse to accept dinos as ferraris? lets be serious. the 612 scaglietti, or even the 550 maranello, are much more reasonable choices.
i just found these odd choices for the top 5 sports cars ever made. to each his own though!
