these cars look badass as shit, it may not be gorgeous in terms of curves, but theres no doubt its very good looking
and i hate to say it, but the DB9 is overrated, as much as i want to like it its not really that pretty

sorry man i kind of know every porsche model since their my favorite cars and i can assure you this car is a 996, aka 911 turbo

996s have the teardrop-style headlights:
my uncle owns two of them (why two, i have no idea). never much liked them styling to be honest.
the 997s went back to the traditional 911 round light, much like the 993 did before the 996. one of the best looking 911s ever, in my opinion, especially the gt3 rs.
so yeah, unless someone did a front end makeover of a 996 turbo to give it the 997 look (which would be next to impossible), then thats a picture of a 997.

evo's are seriously with like the top 5 sports cars ever made(911,miata,evo,e30 m3, f355), the all around performance you get is amazing for the money, you get almost super car performance for 30k in a 4 door daily driver with awd and great gas mileage.

911 is obviously an iconic sports car, and has been for years through its numerous incarnations. but unless youre specifying a certain model, you cant really use that general a statement.
miata? i dont even wanna touch that one. im gonna assume you were making a joke.
evos are great cars, and those and the sti pretty much invented that category - high-strung, bare bones, 4wd rally cars for the general public, at a very reasonable price when compared to comparable european cars. although they were available in europe for years, its worth noting. that one can be understood.
e30 m3, a car ive always had a soft spot for. but you cant overlook the complete lack of reliability that plagued that car. try to find one in drivable condition that hasnt has some serious maintenance in its lifetime. its next to impossible. as far as impressive machinery, of course they are. but if were gonna go that era and base it completely on performance, the audi sport quattro s1 was leaps and bounds beyond the m3, and most other cars of its time.
