The 2010-11 Saga Thread

Im so happy I already have mine. Its been in the low teens a couple night I've been skiing and I was sweating one night. Just a idea of warmth.
 
Bump for not realizing that my local hill opened today. Hopefully some L orders will get shipped tomorrow so I can use mine for some shitty Michigan dirt skiing this weekend!
 
worrying about your saga rather than the opening day of your local hill? what has this world come to.
 
It hasn't snowed once this year, and has barely been below 40 where I live. I have no fucking idea how they managed to make snow, let alone open this early. I was expecting them to open early December, so I didn't even bother to check.
 
This thread is 46 pages. And it's about one company, for only one season's lineup of gear.

Saga, you are a marketing genius and you make magnificent outerwear. Congratulations.
 
You are dumb. $460 is cheap as hell for how quality the gear is. I have used arcteryx jackets that alone cost more than the whole suite that suck in comparison to my saga.
 
i'm aware of that. but it's tough to preorder a suit when the colors end up changing from what the original pre sale pictures show. i mean even when they released that video showing a few of the jackets they used a ton of color correction in the editing. not only that, but the gray vest turned into a black vest and they didn't say anything. any other company and some of you guys would have flipped shit. but dont get me wrong, i'm a fan of saga, i think theyre stuff is awesome.

I used my dads arcteryx last year in pouring rain and got a little wet, and that jacket was 600 dollars. I used my saga this season in the same conditions and I stayed more dry and it cost 425 shipped.

Ok here goes my rant. In regards to the free shipping...1. Saga is a company that by some means is trying to make a profit margin in an industry that is becoming saturated with new and old clothing companies. 2. Saga always has a presale that offers a full suit for the price of 400 for pants and jacket. Its been that way for 5 years. 3. They (Saga) just offered a promotion to include a free hoodie with purchase.

The shipping clearly states that they would not even begin shipping until the 30th of November. People are already getting their gear almost a full week and a half prior to their stated shippiing date. I think that is pretty cool considering that its really just like 4 or five dudes working/ skiing full time to hook up kids early.

What is this sense of entitlement? Why are so many people so hard pressed to get their gear? Is it so you can wear it in your house in front of a mirror to see how cool you will look the next time you go skiing? i.ski.NC you live in Charlotte NC. I bet you ski maybe 10days a full season if your lucky or your parents are rich and you have a house at beech or sugar, I know you didnt pay for your gear anyways.

the gear is pure quality... its better than my dads new arcteryx, hes jealous. not only is it top of the line, but its super steezy too.

not only is it top of the line, and steezy as fuck, but its cheaper than any other suit of the same caliber!!

THAT's why saga is so hyped. its unreal. my new darkside is the best thing ive ever had

Wow. You must have been really pissed off or something when you read my post. I said I was getting antsy, not fucking pissed off. I totally understand that they were originally going to ship the 30th, and I think it's awesome that they shipped early. I also realize mine is going to come in later because I ordered late, and I know that Saga is a ridiculously small company. I'm just saying that I was excited to get my gear. Calm the fuck down.

And yes, I admit I'm 16 and my parents bought my Saga for my Christmas present, and yes, I admit my parents are on the wealthier side, but why the fuck does that matter? I've been skiing for five years and I've been wearing the same pants and jacket for the entire five years. They have fucking holes and rips in them and were two sizes too small. I don't really know about you, but I think buying a new pair of pants and a jacket was a pretty good idea. I'm not like one of those rich, preppy douches who gets new boots, skis, jackets, pants, goggles, helmets, and fifty bandannas before each season. I actually needed new clothes.

And just to confirm this so I don't misunderstand you like you misunderstood me, your basically calling me out because, like mostly everyone else in this thread, I'm excited to see what I purchased a few weeks ago? I'm sorry for having fucking emotions. I guess I'm supposed to just sit here and not care or be excited to see my damn Christmas present. Sorry if that fucking offended you.
 
I just want my shit to ship because I know it's going to take awhile coming to Ontario. Likely won't have a jacket for when I head to Montreal the 17th of december.

i am asking for the ghost anomie pant for christmas that i'm pretttty sure i'm going to get. this will be my first ownership of Saga and i'm wondering if they have already shipped and how long it takes typically...it still says "pre-sale" on the site.

i believe most of you that have ordered something have already gotten your gear (or some of it) but would just like clarification, thanks!

XL shit has shipped, the rest of the stuff hasn't although someone had posted their L jacket had shipped awhile back, which could be a special case not sure. Pre-Sale is no longer on, ended a weekend or 2 ago. As for how long it takes, not sure, depends if they have what you, and then likely where you fall in order of the orders.
 
Ok? So you switched to wanting a vest now...it's no different then when you wanted to trade your syrup How about you just stop posting anything
 
for anyone that got there saga pants there is a hook towards the bottom inside of the pants. does anyone know what thats for? and also is the teather like elastic band just to hold up the pants when you roll them up?

they werent even supposed to start shipping until tomorrow and did a nice thing by getting in their xl shipments early and shipping out what they had. they could have just waited until they got the full shipment and sent them out all at the same time. quit your bitchin kids.
 
Just received an email from Saga:"HI,We are waiting on shipment from factory for items in your order. They should be in next week and then we will ship to you - right away!Saga "
I ordered Blastoff jacket XL and Goldcoast pant XL... Not really the best news of the day..
 
probably.. but it sucks that i'm in russia and it takes 3-4 weeks for stuff to ship from US... our customs keep it for a long time. I hoped to get my suit by NewYear atleast!
