The 2010-11 Saga Thread

So I got my shipping email last tuesday and ever since the tracking number has said:

"The U.S. Postal Service was electronically notified by the shipper on November 24, 2010 to expect your package for mailing. This does not indicate receipt by the USPS or the actual mailing date. Delivery status information will be provided if / when available. Information, if available, is updated periodically throughout the day. Please check again later. "

I emailed saga and they said:

"Hi,

If the post office does not scan items - that is what it will say until it is delivered.

Sorry it is out of our hands.

Saga"

Does that mean that the jacket shipped and USPS just screwed the pooch as far as the tracking goes and it could arrive any day?

I'm confused...
 
Yeah I don't know if this answers your question but USPS does not actually track, they just provide "Delivery Confirmation." Meaning they will say "This item has been scanned" and then the next thing it will say is "delivered." They don't update you in between.
 
reading comprehension must be at an all time low.

it means your order will be out for shipping soon. saga has printed their prepaid labels to stick on your bag to ship your stuff. however they havent gone to the post office yet.

hence

"to expect your package for mailing" not. "mailed"

honestly, all you kids emailing with stupid questions is just delaying your suits further while they answer them instead of shipping your stuff.
 
Alright, that's what I originally thought. The email from sag a just confused me, saying it's not their fault if the post office doesn't scan items, "it's out of their hands" and "That's what it will say until it's delivered"

Funny story. As I was typing that the doorbell rang and I ran upstairs hoping it was saga, only to find an iPad on my doorstep...
 
So I ordered mine during the pre-order date, but totally forgot to save the extra 60 bucks or whatever by putting pre-order in the box that gives discounts... so technically i paid extra. whatever. to late. but does this mean they wont ship my preorder? like i ordered it well in between the pre-order deadline. but what do you guys think will happen.

alright so this question has probably been asked a million times, im just to lazy to read everything, so dont flip on me..i was wondeirng how long its going to take to ship my jacket i orderd. i ordered it yesterday and as you all know they were supposed to start shipping on the 30th

ive never ordered anything from an online company such as Saga and i live in Toronto, Ontario (thats in canada for any people who dont know..) and i was wondering how long its going to take (any guesses in days or weeks) to get to me. id lovee to have it by the end of the week?
 
im going to try to keep my mouth shut until after tomorrow just to give them the benefit of the doubt, but for now ill just say that im going to be pissed if shipping doesnt start on schedule. im driving out for a month-long ski trip as soon as my exams are over, i knew this months ago and i told saga about it when i preordered back then, they said not to worry and that they would have everything moving out my the 30th no problem.

basically im just worried about the huge gap between when most of the XL stuff arrived and now...something doesn't feel right to me and i hope there's not a problem, but i cant help that im having flashbacks to their horrible issues from a couple years back (which they claimed were resolved and wont happen again).

basically, if my suit doesnt ship before december 7th or 8th then im going to have a major problem...theyre gonna have to change the shipping address to one of my friends in CO or WY so i can pick it up while im couch surfing, otherwise im not going to get the stuff until i drive home in late January...
 
The elastic is to go around your boot so snow doesn't get up your pants, and the hook is to attach to your boot buckles so the elastic doesn't slide up.
 
its my first with the hook on them. i had spiders last year, markers before, and ride before that and no of them had it before so witch made me ask the question
 
sorry i didnt state my question the right way but the hook i understand but inside the part where you wrap around your boot id a elastic band with a button at the end of it and on the outside about to the top of your in length is a extra peice of fabric holding the other side of the button to snap on. is that to be used when you are walking through the parking lot or something else?
 
If anyone gets a Large Darkside jacket and it's a little big or they just don't like it that much, I have a large Salomon Gangster jacket in purple (similar pattern to the magic jacket) that I really need to trade for a black jacket. Just figured I'd post it in here in case anyone is interested.
 
hey anyone in British Colombia gotten theirs or had their trakcing thing updated since the 24th? mine still says it passed canadian customs.
 
I'm in BC, but ordered a large and haven't even gotten a tracking number yet.

I was actually wondering where your suit crossed the boarder. The two other guys i know from bc who ordered suits had them go all the way from Utah to Ontario.. and now they need to come all the way back to the west coast.
 
do they send out an email when your stuff gets shipped? because I heard they were shipping out gear earlier than the 30th and I ordered my stuff back in September and i havent gotten an email yet. Also, I need it before december 16th, like 2 and half weeks away. do you think itll be here in time (im in CO)?
 
if you had read the thread, you would know that they havent gotten larges or mediums in yet, so if you ordered either of those, they have not shipped it yet. they did say that the estimated ship date was november 30th, but that was an estimation.
 
I'm hoping we'll at least get a quick update on twitter or something by the end of tomorrow, we can only hope for the best though
 
Just gotta get your mind off waiting for the suit. It'll come when it comes.

I'm sure some people will get confirmation tomorrow, but whether or not you're one of them is another question. Just go enjoy some skiing
 
agreed. the only reason that i am somewhat uptight about it at the moment is that i have no jacket. i have pants, which are fine, but with snow starting to fall, and the weather starting to get colder, i would love to have a jacket, instead of a hoodie. and the thing is I ordered an XL jacket, but L pants....
 
I feel you. I'm lucky in that I have a suit I can wear for the time being (obviously it isn't as dope, but hey I get to ride).

The good news is that we'll have them sometime in December most likely.

Also from what I remember after having a chat with the Saga guys back at the start of the month, it sounded like most of the XL gear was coming in the first shipment of gear. The other sizes were apparently due to arrive at the end of last week. That's why they estimated an original shipping date on the 30th.. Gives them time to receive the 2nd load of gear and start turning it around to customers.
 
ah cool. yeah i was about to say that there was a post saying that "volume 2" was coming soon on their twitter. probably means larges shipping. gonna wait for a few more before accepting this as truth though.
