Tech mounted my bindings wrong

Hello. Any advice? Asked for +1 from recommended (-5) and ended up getting at least +2 from center. What should I do
 
you need to talk to the shop and let them know exactly how they’ve fucked up and what they should be giving you because of their fuck up

Just did the calculation these things are +7 from center +13 from recommended. Shop really wanted me to hang 10

Walk your ask in their ask for who’s in charge like a Karen and say hey man you fucked up my mount and I payed good money for this I get a new mount of new skis you choose

Just called and they said “that’s unfortunate, bring them in”. That’s all they had to say. Pretty pissed now.
 
Thats lame balls, but In the future DRAW a line with a sharpie across the whole top sheet, of where you want your boot centre mounted.

NEVER TRUST A SHOP to mount anything correctly if you ask for something other then recomended line.

Dude this is so common that it is almost a sick joke. They owe you a free re-mount and or cash for shit like this in my opinion.

If you are okay with skiing them as they are mounted I would at least ask for money/credit for sure.
 
You should post a picture showing the the ski fully, its pretty hard to see what you're talking about unless one knows what ski/graphic you have.

Update: shop told me to pick any skis off the floor and instantly remounted. Not too mad anymore but still annoyed couldn’t get a new pair of noctas and now these have two sets of holes in them. Disappointed lost 40% of value with the fucked mount.

why do your skis have two sets of holes if they told you to pick any skis off the floor? did they not have the same pair in stock? looks like 3 skis in that pic
 
Ehhhhhhh I would take 2 sets of holes in my skis if they all came with free skis. I think you win here.

who knows, maybe if you try and resell them it’ll be to someone who wants them at +13.........

When a similar situation like this happened to me which I posted a thread about a few months ago I was polite and understanding and got them remounted and a new pair of skis is on the way. Just hold your ground but be really nice about it

Unfortunately this is the case. Need to tape it or mark it somehow. Too many of these threads. Rip skis :(

They better be giving you new skis. Just wanted to take this time to encourage you to learn how to mount your own. You will save money and you always know they are done right. Recently mounted some pivots and shifts on two pairs of new moments, no regrets, no worries about it being done wrong.
 
I've mounted 4 pairs of skis and my system is to get like 5-6 beers deep and then smoke a joint and me and my buddy eyeball the whole operation and it works every time

Give them other bindings to put on the skis of your choice. We need to see these things ride for science.

Its freaking awesome man. Never had an issue with it. Mounted probably 10-12 skis with it and it makes it brainless.

If you have some ski buddies to split the cost on it it simply makes sense. You can get it to cost less than a single mount. Even after that a new plate costs less than a mount around here.

+2 from rec is what black crows reccomends, and is very sensible, +2 from CENTER is heavy drugs.

wonder how they ski switch

I grabbed thoose 2020 noctas fairly cheap, so... should be cheap for shop to replace them? but seeing plugged holes in shovel of ski... wtf

Kinda off topic but how bad is it if you have to get them remounted from dumb shit like this? Like is having extra mount holes a very bad thing?

Sometimes is can compromise the structure of the ski, just depends on ski and how they were mounted and what was mounted

Interesting. I’m worried about getting new boots because I don’t want them to have a BSL length that’s different enough to require a remount which might screw up the integrity of the ski.

I’d say talk to a ski tech and a shop know for being reputable even if you didn’t buy the skis or bindings there and talk with them mark stuff out and if it does they’ll prolly tell you and not mount them. Most of the time your fine but you never know some techs take 2 try’s to mount a binding once ?? You just don’t know till the bindings off and you can see the holes

anyone who owns crows is automatically a Karen. OP is probably the guy who assaulted someone at Vail a couple weeks ago
