Well if it makes any of you 14-15 year olds feel any better, if you aren't better than Tanner Hall at skiing at least you can rest assured you are smarter than he is. Sucks cus it seems like Iberg is really intelligent and wants the best for skiing, but tanner the 7th grader does an excellent job undoing any credibility that the skiing world gains.

Exactly. How people think Tanner is being "refreshing" or in some other way is tapping into the spirit of freeskiing is beyond me. If you say whatever is on your mind, it isn't necessarily a good thing- all it shows that you don't have any self-control. Letting yourself fly off the handle at fellow freeskiers is nothing buy childish and lame. Which clearly he is because he can't even handle any criticism or jokes made about him. He freaks out when anyone turns it back around on him. Get over it man, grow up.
 
This is true, but I'm also referring to all the people attacking/critisizing Tanner for his "All Caps"(who cares), his Rasta style and most hurtful references to his level of education and not graduating. Even though Tanner is tough as a Lion, these deep cutting comments have to hurt. But there again I'm one of those who takes the internet too seriously, so maybe I'm wrong. Live And Let Live. Peace.
 
If he hasn't learnt much in his life, he needs to learn his place, these deep cutting comments should be helpful, not harmful in the long run. If tanner can't take some hate he should learn not to dish it out.
 
T hall is right about the stupid greenscreen fotoshoot, but other than that hes probly one of the most unchill people in freesking. Watch his real sking on real mountains video. High strung as fuck
 
I think the t-hall haters in this thread are all younger kids who never gained respect for tanner when he was revolutionizing the sport before his injuries.
 
Nope, not at all.

I am 26 and have been following Tanner throughout his skiing career. I was a big T Hall fan and respected everything he was doing for our sport. And then he clearly went downhill, which is fine because it can happen to all of us. However, the attitude that came along with him is not something that should be respected or amplified on a large scale. He is a disgrace to the sport now and the shit he's doing is childish and pathetic. Like someone said earlier in the thread, it would be like Wayne Gretzky going on hockey forums and trashing people.

Fuck him and fuck what he's doing. He was outside of the Tom Wallisch Project premiere in SLC talking shit about the movie and park skiing. Dude is a douche and should be forgotten.
 
Gretzky might not but Jordan does. You see his hall of fame speech? T Hall just has the same attitude as MJ and acts like him worst actually a really bad analogy.

Other skiiers have the option of getting more famous than T Hall and making him irrelevant but noones done it.

I think its funny to watch him make people mad other people who don't like whatever he is hating on like it too.

 
Gosh the more I'm hearing the more disgraced I am. I mean he's sabotaging himself by such hurtful, hateful comments towards his peers and fellow athletes. Now he's even hating on park skiers, and criticizing Tom and The Wallisch Project, produced, filmed and edited by Kyle Decker who Tanner employed to edit his "The Lost Season" short film. Shame he is tarnishing his own legacy by not controlling his tongue.
 
He's a moron who can't take comments on the internet. His segment in Rettalack was crazy and one of the biggest BC cliff hucks of all time in skiing or snowboarding but he's like a 6th grader. He's as tall as one as well

There is so much misinformation on this thread but you've crossed a line. Aside from the fact that this reads like it was translated on google translate (actually, not as good as that), Tanner isn't at all like MJ, quite the opposite. Did you even see or read his speech? It has been criticized and supported by a lot of press but it isn't bullying, insulting, hateful or rude. But don't take my word for it...read it or watch it and decide for yourself.

Maybe the Gretzky example isn't good as he is quiet, serious and keeps a low profile. However, Michael Jordan proves the point even better. MJ is arrogant and outspoken but he would never trash talk on basketball forums or be a bully and insulting against a female player or anyone on Facebook. It is impossible to imagine a man of his stature to stoop so low. In MJ's speech, he is talking about his own life in basketball and includes all his motivations along the way. While he calls out some people for not believing in him, he doesn't make any personal attacks nor are there any insults. He says these people motivated him to achieve. There was nothing disrespectful or rude and mainly expressed so much love for his family and the game of basketball. He is very sincere and completely his own person.

That's just a stupid thing to say. By that logic, because he doesn't call out every sell-out ever he's at fault? Should he call out every pro surfer/skater/bmx'er whose ever sold out? No, because he doesn't give a fuck, he does however think that Roz faking a mute grab on a green screen is whack. This is a sport that he put his life into and he doesn't like seeing in commercialized. He's expressing an opinion, his just happens to carry more weight than most.

Tell it to the man that co owns retallack ski lodge with Seth Morrison and co founder of armada and gave his life to a company and owns a recored company and a media company... I don't think he has much to worry about man.
