Talking to god.

hmm interesting but really not believable, hell...i could write a conversation that I had with god and it would be just as believable. but i really really really like the comparison with ants to people...it shows how god could let people suffer the way he does and still exist...it just shows how people think of ourselves as most important when really maybe we arent? maybe to god we are just another species that isnt even very important.

took a while but it was very interesting. i really hope people start understanding that all this fighting over religion is silly and uncalled for. good post!

well i am not sure I believe that but he does a good job expressing the idea that I always, ALWAYS bring up when NS talks about god... that a 'higher being' is not in any way required to be supernatural, as most people tend to assume must be the case.

'you will learn that ecstasy can be infinitely more intense than anything

offered by sex'

i like this god, to bad ill be dead by then

i thought that was an interesting read. even if its fake, which is almost a definite fact, it gives people a good idea of the challenges that the human race faces in the future with the development of our society. i enjoyed it, especially since god seemed chill and shit, not all 'bow down and suck my nuts'.

No doubt in my mind that the article is fake, the authors' purpose was merely to attempt to explain how God exists, and yet allows for all the suffering on Earth to continue, and why he never intervenes. Interesting read.

500th post!

"Fake" or not, it's still a pretty cool philosophy for the writer to develop. He's definatly got a good head on his shoulders coming up with the whole annalysis of society.

I read the whole thing, if that is true, then wow. Can you imagine the possibilities human kind has at its finger tips. Crazy post, i choose to believe.

im pretty skeptical. it would be incredibly easy for someone to just make that entire thing up, but if that really did happen... thats incredible.

i dont understand why an atheist would make up a story proving the existence of god

he seems like a serious believer in darwinism and atheism

i just dont know if he'd benefit from somethign like this

why spend the time to write something that in-depth if it only disproves your own beliefs

it all kinda makes sense

so it seems believable

I scrolled down the whole page and dicided not to read it, but then I read some of the replies and read the article. it was (like everyone else said) interesting.

i hope when i die i can keep an eye on the world. and see if it all happens. and the orgasm part. sucks that none of us will live that long

That's a good point there. If he's atheist, then why the heck would he do that? Even if he's NOT atheist, and he does believe in God, then why would he bother to write that article when it says that he's atheist? It's actually pretty believable now.

it also said how this "god" was entirely natural, and had evolved into what he was (he derived from the text, could be a girl but whatever...). he seemed to have created this universe because he reached that "stage"

if that makes it anymore, well, "less confusing"

good point

still, why argue with your own opinion

he also fits the mold for a pretty un-biased opinion about god

if he had any bias, it's be against god in general

it seems too convenient and well-written to be fake

i've watched and read a ton of stuff like this

but this really affected the way i think

HOW WOULD HE REMEMBER ALL OF THAT WORD FOR WORD?

Its complete nonsense...using an atheist that "non believers" could comfortably associate with while reading the article.

"But I was on a train and not even wearing my Darwin "Evolve" tshirt that day." ok just stop right there haha, so stupid.

propaganda.

it says it's fiction on the site. But it's interesting fiction. Philosophers are a crazy bunch.
