hmm interesting but really not believable, hell...i could write a conversation that I had with god and it would be just as believable. but i really really really like the comparison with ants to people...it shows how god could let people suffer the way he does and still exist...it just shows how people think of ourselves as most important when really maybe we arent? maybe to god we are just another species that isnt even very important.
took a while but it was very interesting. i really hope people start understanding that all this fighting over religion is silly and uncalled for. good post!
well i am not sure I believe that but he does a good job expressing the idea that I always, ALWAYS bring up when NS talks about god... that a 'higher being' is not in any way required to be supernatural, as most people tend to assume must be the case.
i thought that was an interesting read. even if its fake, which is almost a definite fact, it gives people a good idea of the challenges that the human race faces in the future with the development of our society. i enjoyed it, especially since god seemed chill and shit, not all 'bow down and suck my nuts'.
No doubt in my mind that the article is fake, the authors' purpose was merely to attempt to explain how God exists, and yet allows for all the suffering on Earth to continue, and why he never intervenes. Interesting read.
"Fake" or not, it's still a pretty cool philosophy for the writer to develop. He's definatly got a good head on his shoulders coming up with the whole annalysis of society.
I read the whole thing, if that is true, then wow. Can you imagine the possibilities human kind has at its finger tips. Crazy post, i choose to believe.
I scrolled down the whole page and dicided not to read it, but then I read some of the replies and read the article. it was (like everyone else said) interesting.
That's a good point there. If he's atheist, then why the heck would he do that? Even if he's NOT atheist, and he does believe in God, then why would he bother to write that article when it says that he's atheist? It's actually pretty believable now.
it also said how this "god" was entirely natural, and had evolved into what he was (he derived from the text, could be a girl but whatever...). he seemed to have created this universe because he reached that "stage"
