Superunkown vids are up on level1 sit

toms was amazing of course but we all knew that shit.

personally i really want that curtis kid to win. partly because i've never heard of him, and partly because he would absolutely destroy a real park. look how wack his park is. thats not fair to say he only hits small jumps and rails. he still sw misty 9'd like a 30 footer.
 
true i guess i read very heavily into the steeze of a competitor moreso than most people. sure there were alot of tech tricks in there, but if you don't have any steeze on your hardest trick in the vid its never going to look AMAZING, just pretty good.
 
cosco should be disqualified first off, theres no way he should be in this competition.

martin soderberg was good, but there are a lot of kids on this site that are much better.

david lesh copied olenicks lame intro, immediate dq, his skiing was ok, not mind boggling.

curtis bolduc had tech tricks on really small features. the style just generally isn't there and neither are the grabs.

jonny scott had by far the most legit bc (excluding cosco) and has filmed with level 1, so he has a shot, but i dont think he should win.

so that leaves wallisch, martini, and bealieau.

martini had some amazing shots, really creative shit, but the video didnt make you say "holy shit" like bealieaus or wallischs' did. props in general though.

wallisch rails are retarded, buuttt i feel like beaulieu could do the same shit and is a better jumper. urban was insance but again, bealieus was better.

so that leave david bealieau as the clear winner, urban on par or better than any pro, he didnt need the jumps cause they know he slays and the few shots he had were dope. and he just general fits well into level 1s predominantly urban and bc formula, if he could hold his own in the bc hed be just as good as most people in their movies, better on urban.

exactly, curt only skis at the riv with trips elsewhere he would straight up slay. Some of you complain that the stuff he hits isnt big enough well im from sunday river and he pretty much hits every park element we've got. Also he doesnt have a car to drive all around finding and hitting urb whenever he wants, hes super unknown other than for his awesome suit and hes humble, hes diserves to win
 
personally i think everyone saying db slays jumps and shouldnt put them in the vid. pros slay jumps but they put them in their vids. i haven't seen dbs jumps and if they are that impressive, then he should showcase them.
 
yeah sorry to say it. I thought I would blow my load when I saw bealeuassalkdjf's but his wasnt great. His urbs were actually insaane but a little sketch... If Tom Doesnt win I dont know what I will do....
 
i dont understand how people think DB should win. im sure he is a real amazing skier, but i didnt see anything spactacular in that video, he just didnt put enough shots in there. you cant just say, everyone knows DB can do all 4 10's. it should be in the video to be up for evaluation in the comp. i also think wallisch has urban that compares, if not even better than DB (except the last 270 onto the long ass down rail). i really think this comp is between wallisch and martini, but whatever.
 
you have got to be kidding me about the urban, bealieau 270d on to switch on a 46 STAIR RAIL, had right 2sev on, lip 2 sev on, two lipslides on gnar quad kinks, a pretzel on a rail that was smaller than wallischs but was still legit, lip fs switch, sw lip to switch, every urban trick he had was a banger...
 
i got caught up in the moment and forgot to mention that wallisch's was still mindblowing, i just thought davids had better urban.

and major props go out to nick martini, kid is slaying shit.

I liked Curtis edit alot, was fun to watch, he has maddd potential from what I saw in that vid. That green urban kink rail was sik. And then the rail outside the cop shop was hilarious lol.
 
tom shit is just steezy as fuck, martini wow dude kills it everywhere on anything, honestly the most unknownn is curtis i dont know him personally but i do know that all he needs is the opportunity and he would be killing it.....kid works with the cards that were dealt to him and still kills it.....SUPERUNKNOWN fuck yea....like twall dosent need this to be pro hes already KNOWN same with Nick and cosco and the other dudes......but this dude is on the LOLO and just needs an opportunity

tom wallisch is the first person to produce a promo that has impressed me for awhile...

nick martini and beaulieu were pretty sick too, and that 270 onto that downrail by beaulieu was probably the sickest thing ive ever seen, but wallisch kills everything and has amazing style doing it. Maybe beaulieu should win this year just because he got jewed last year. Otherwise:

I think DB's vid was sick, but too short.. 270 on that last rail was t hall status. Johnny scott had some sick BC, but put a blind side sw up on a box in his video so maybe needs to step that aspect up to win the super unknown... still very impressive though. Nick Martini was impressive as well, and young so can only really get better from here on out. the one kid in the bright orange i couldnt watch because i was too distacted by his suit the whole time, haha jk jk.. he was good butttt i think t walls has the most potential. first season out west and clearly killing it... has the talent just needs the right oppurtunities. his entry is ONLY this winter stuff, and he has been travelling for comps a lot so could just not get a crazy long vid. anyways, its not the quantity, but the quality, EVERY single shot is over par sick, no need to add cheesy shots to make it longer, all you want to see is there. I think this part could be a part in a PRO movie and own it.
 
Look at martini's edit for example, its nice and all, but he isnt spining on a single urban rail, realistically, I dont think level 1 is looking at skier that shred the park rails, they do urbans... who cares if you 2in sw up 2 out on a small park rail if you cant even spin in a urban?
 
does the fact that martini won the saloman jib academy contest at waterville have any affect on him with this contest. Because im pretty sure he gets a trip to mammoth and is filming with PBP on that trip, i could be totally wrong but i remember hearing something of this nature in that edit from that weekend.
 
db's last 2 shots were ridiculous. that 270 onto that long ass rail was the most perfect skiing trick i think ive ever seen
 
curtis needs to grow out of the kiddy park and get some steeze (worst grabs ever)

jonny does way too many critical 3s, also lacks steeze, really unimpressive rails

dave b's was like two seconds long but sick urban, weaksauce jumps

lesh had a shitty cam but some really dope shots; nasty urbans and decent jumping

martin...no music, a possible total of 4 minutes spent making this thing, hucked ass jumps...this is the best europe has to offer?

nick m is legit, but not quite as steezy or tech as...

wallisch wins this hands down, so much more steeze than anyone else and tech as fuck park rails

there's my take...the jumping as a whole was pretty lackluster i must say

martini has barely filmed shit this year.. 60% of his edit was from last year and 2 years ago (urban)! ballin for a kid his age

we didn't get park jumps in Quebec until late january, so we didn't film jumps at all before that...

if you wanna see what he can do on jumps, look at his last year promo, there was no need to put back shots that were in the video last year.

the deadline was tough to work with for jumps for martini though i must say. waterville didnt get jumps untill after u.s. open.

you can't really say that about this contest since they're judging by the video (eer, that's what they're suppossed to be doing at least) and if he can do all 4 10s, why aren't they in the video?
 
cosco shouldn't be in this. yea, he's a good skier, but he's not superunknown. he already has sponsors and shit
 
I just watched curtis' vid, and for everyone saying he doesn't hit anything big, that is everything we have at the mountain. it really is. I'm sure if there were big rails like you have, he would slay them just as well, cause he's obviously good at rails, but you can't say he doesn't try. Just because SR doesn't have a big park, doesn't mean you should penilize him. not his fault
 
i liked johnny scott. the new wave of filming takes place in the bc. he (besides cosco who shouldn't be in this anyway) was the only one to have solid bc jumps. wallish is a close second.
