Alot of the urban he hit was small (yet some very impressive and big too) and same with the jumps, his jump game wasn't on the level of some of the kids in finals. Not saying he couldn't do tricks on bigger jumps, but the contest is based off the video not on the current skills of the skier or what the skier could possibly do.

maxmilian was one of my faves, style + creativity, but yeh ig uess he's young and id be hard for him to film and shit. So far gotta say pretty much all the quebeckers are holding it down, eith the exception of sig tveit, who does not have the best vid, but is too steezy for the league

disagreed. some innovative things in there, but by no means do i think its superunkown material. Yan Bussieres on the other hand.... kid kills it. so much style and all his handplants were sick. especially the zero spin one over the rainbow.

The level of riding is fucking crazy....
It's good to see a lot of the entries featuring different styles and approaches, feels like kids are no longer doing tricks just to prove they have them, and are instead doing the tricks that they want to do.
Gun to my head, don't think I could make the pick, but I really like Darblon, Cedrik, Dane, and Yan. Austin and Gaute were both dope and tech, just not necessarily doing the sorts of tricks that I feel like would bring much more diversity to their squad.
In my opinion, Level 1 should abandon the notion of finding the "best" am each and every year. As each year goes by, the gap between pros and ams shrinks...shit...the gap between the illest in the game and kids winning X and kids entering SU is pretty small (relatively speaking of course). Instead, they should approach SU like the NFL draft, meaning that they should look to fill a gap on their roster. That's why I thought Logan was such a good pick...might not have the biggest bag of jump tricks or whatever, but he brought some new shit to the table—the shots he contributed to the flick couldn't/wouldn't have been snagged by anyone else, and that's why they were tight.
Anyway, again, Level 1 has a really tough decision on their hands, props to all the finalists and HM's, it's been a blast watching all of these.
P.S.
I was hoping Collin Collins was going to enter...I really would like to see Level 1 scoop a new BC jibber/ripper (yes I understand that the SU winner earns an invite to a park shoot/urban shoot).

Benoit,Yan or Cedrik. Benoit had killer urban game. He also has killed it on the jumps.

Yan and Cedrik both brought a crazy and creative urban game to the table.

Level 1 is going to have a hard decision on there hands.

jacks edit wasnt that great.. i didnt see him go inverted once and i did not see a 450, or any double switch ups. his style was not that great either. austin ftw.

borland's was the best. hands down. finally a fresh breath of air into freeskiing. the influence he gets from his brother defiantly shows in his style of skiing

100% jib/rail features. seems like your definition of freeskiing is contained in a box.

not impressed. mix it up please

yea a kid not doing dub 12s and hucking mad shit. look at any snowboarding movie. theres a TON of pros that dont even jump, at all.

mix it up? that was mixed up, when have you seen some of that stuff before, never. up-rail redirect? rail 3 foot drop to ledge?

opinions are opinions but it seems like your view of freesking is contained in a box
