haha just read the whole threads. ski for fun if you want to, but streets is all about getting shots and everybody who hit urban will tell you. theres a line between getting shots/ have fun.
 
That's obviously because they aren't trying hard enough. If Frank Raymond can do it, anyone that is physically similar to him has the ability to do it. I watched Giray Dadali nollie on to lipslide a 2.5+ foot flat rail from flat ground a couple days ago. Skiers CAN pop as high, if they try.

This argument is dumb. Small lips are better than large lips. Inside jumps are better than outside jumps. Why? Because in freeskiing, that's what's cooler, more difficult, and more technical, besides in most people's opinions, more aesthetically pleasing. Sure, you can disagree if you want, but keep in mind you're disagreeing with 90 percent of the industry, and this is an industry contest.
 
You don't need an essay. If you want to impress people by doing tricks on urban instead of doing them in the park then there are 3 rules that make the difference.

1.lip should be one step or less high if it is a down rail or less than half the hight of the rail if its flat or really mellow.

2.kicker should be above stairs.

3.if there are stairs they should have been cleared.

If you just want to do hard tricks and don't care what feature they are done on you as well doing them in the park. If you don't follow those rules they will be no more impressive on street. If you're just sking for fun and don't care about impressing people, you don't need to make an edit and definitely don't want to enter a competition.

The fact that people don't understand these concepts baffles me.

didn't you know doing unnatural tricks is only for contests, look at all your favorite pros movie segments barely any unnatural tricks
 
I haven't put a unnat 540-720 for 2 reasons

1. It would not fit with the banger vibe we tried to give to this edit.

2.I don't think it really shows you can spin both ways to put a unnat 5. The guys who have unnat cork 9 mute or sw unnat 10 blunt really shows they can do it. So I decided not tu use the small unnat tricks and trade them to some dubs and well corked tricks.

And if I lose points for that: my bad

and im not talking right 5 or 7. i wanna see big tricks both ways. put all 4 tens in your edit. that truly showcases talent. i dont give a fuck if you can do temporary tornado dub 12.

SuperUnknown isn't selecting an "average skier." And I really don't think anyone was saying that the lips had to be as small as the ones Frank Raymond would build but the lips in that kid's edit were way too big by anyone's standards. He didn't have to pop at all

dude his landings were clean tights pants or not... and with baggy shit it would have been pretty much flawless
