Day crew started up some guns around 6ish and we've been running since. We just lit up top to bottom too but that's gonna take a bit more snow. T2 and upper punch are coming along pretty nicely and starting to add up

you guys are doing an awesome job . took a run from midstation to the bottom and even down there there was a solid 6-8 inches in some spots, if you guys keep going all night i wouldnt be surprised if it was open top to bottom

Someone who skis tomorrow should post what the setup is. I'm expecting a 8ft flat box and 8ft flat rail meanwhile Killington puts up a down rail with a donkey dick and a dfd.

i'll try and remember to.

Setup was a down handrail, 8 foot flat bar and little up rail. It's probably gonna change by Saturday though cause they took everything down at the end of the day

It was a pretty fun rail setup, although everything was kinda shaky.

At his point its assumed that killy has a way better set up early season, but not to hype too much because I doubt it sets in stone, but i overheard the park crew say that they want 8 features in by Saturday. I don't know if the weather will co-operate and i bet the rails will all be 12 feet or shorter, but if they make that happen before Halloween. Hats off

I'll never understand why mountains put in their shittiest rails first and leave all their best features rotting on the side of the trail...

Wish I could get up there this weekend. I have work both days, but hopefully the conditions are still good for the weekend for all of you. It doesn't look too favorable at the moment.

See you up there again haha, pretty sure we are up saturday! Dave, our filmer wont be up till halloween next weekend so we might be looking to film some! I figure we ski with you a bunch anyway though so we will see you regardless!

sweet, I'll see you guys tomorrow then

What are the alleged '4-6 features' looking like for this weekend? SR site says that's their plan. Anyone on the inside know? Thinking of making the trip but only if it's not a bunk setup

It's october and the only place open, what do you want?

Shouldn't be terribly difficult for them to get a few rails setup, maybe a mellow down, a flat, a fd, and a box or something. No one is asking for much, people just want to shred.

I'm sure park crew would if they could but there really isn't a very solid base where the park is. Best to avoid making grassy landings. They've got a couple features setup and unless you're a pass holder at Killy, SR is your only option. Try to appreciate what they ARE able to do instead of bitch about what they can't...

for october 24th they did a really good job, especially considering there was only like 6 inches of snow over most of the park area

I agree. The snow held up better than I thought it was going to.

The rail setups they had up yesterday were super fun to sesh so I give them props for that, making the most out of what little snow there was.

Definitely wasn't bitching, was simply saying that it is do-able for them to set something up, and it was and they had a fun setup so props to them.

Any updates on snowmaking? Last few nights have been cold. I'm trying to plan a trip up there for Halloween but I'm not sure if they will be open

Haven't had any good snowmaking windows. Been seeing a lot of people hiking up to ski T2 but not sure how much snow is up there

Any features up this weekend?

we set up the greatest 4 foot long box in the world for a while before it got taken down.

there is basically no snow where the park was and t2 s too narrow for it. it was really icy this morning but after lunch it got soft and really fun

How about that wall ride jib tho!?

Ayyyyooo

Since Sunday River is open daily, anyone know about what's good with the park? Historically around this time is when they build that banger Upper Sunday Punch park that stretches all the way down the trail. Anyone who's up there see any signs of them moving the park further up now that they're blowing a lot more? Tryna ski this weekend but if the park is the same as it's been I'd rather just send it to Loaf considering I bet they'll opening this weekend.

I can give an update on friday, on sunday it was the sticky handrail and tiny waterfall rail.

haven't had the same weather at all this year. Snowmaking approach has been different, opening different parts this season, wouldn't compare it to last year, Just sayin.

finally getting cold enough though. should be over to south ridge and aurora earlier this year.

Any update at all on the park? Saw a comment that says it isn't going in until Friday, seems kinda whack considering it's vacation week for most people

I get why people are upset with them but for snowmaking we had to finish filling in grand junction and upper punch just needs a little more snow on her if they plan on moving the park up there. Unfortunate, but parks has just been waiting for more snow to build with. They should be able to start building soon

So there should be a park up on Friday?

hows the new setup? im down in MA right now and curious how much im missing

actually so prime right now, such fun rails. some rails that we haven't seen up for a while (old jib park dfd box), and some new rails like the a frame which is gnarly and the donkey dick. jump is trash but whats new for sunday river.

SHOTS. But yeah, the jump is actually decently sized compared to last year's, just a super flat landing. The rail setup is primo though, really good stuff. All they're missing is a tube...
