STOWE 10/11

ah jyes, jyour grass schussing abilities were on point that day if I do say so myself.
Excited for opening, looks like you guys got a little dusting last night and it was cold. Git 'er open!

That's one way to set it up but I don't want to repete set ups too much, I was thinking flat down flat but it could be flat up flat or down flat down...

Anyone else???

Skiing and photogging Stowe up hard this year. But I think you should go inbetween on the dfd and make it a down up down, so put it in the middle, aka the start and end points are horizontal to eachother.

I think I understand what you describe but if the 1st and last section are horizontal that would make it flat (like the horizon) down flat so I think you mean parallel? I'm not sure that would work unless the takeoff was also on the down or a large gap on so you don't jump into the up, over jumping the first down section. Not sure I'm feeling that set up for first day set up, everyone still needs to get their legs back before we get all tech with interesting set ups.

Unless you all tell me that's what you want.

there should only be something wierd like a up flat up or down up down if we already have a dfd or fdf or both. fundamentals yo

yeah look at this guy hes the man... anyway. I think optimal opening day setup (if its gotta be three features) is flat box, FDF rail, down rail/maybe one of the nice new boxes either way set up urban, obv.

well i just found out i wont be making it up for opening day but that weekend il definitely be there.

yay stowe!

setup some more trickable rails this year. there were a lot of fun rails on the halfpipe trail last year. I think we only went on that trail a total of like 4 times last year. I would rather hit all the jumps/rails on northslope than hit a few rails.

That is my only advice.. focus more on tyro and northslope. (maybe extend northslope lower and put a bunch of rails?)

oh and bigger jumps. but i know you have some "size limit" to abide by.

Yea I just looked and it lo0ks terrible. I thought it was supposed to be cold up there over break :(

Apparently they blew enough for 'er to still open top to bottom, plus it's cooling down tonight and staying cold with the possibility of snow.
I'll be there tomorrow for open no doubt

It was a pretty sick day. the setup was real nice. new flat box and i've nver hit that donkey dick down rail before so it was fun. the trails were mad icey though and there were a ton of rolls all over the place but if you had the right skis or sum edges it was fun. good day but cold wind.

Yesterday was pretty fun, some spots were pretty nice but others were just pure ice. The flat up flat is super fun and they had a pretty nice flat box set up and a down rail. In all it was a good day

one of my favorite set ups from last year was at the bottom of the rail garden under the half pipe, the up to flat rail.. that shit was mad fun, clearing or tapping the flat part, and the landing was pretty nice.. please something like that again.

but yup I'll be at stowe all year, MWF next semester and some weekend days when they're worth it

lucky you, with 2 more labs next semester the best i can do is friday afternoons and weekends

possibly tues thurs if im lucky with that weeks work load.

sucks

I hope i get some weekday riding in....schedule is so spread out and ridiculously awful. UVM Registrars Office gave me a big FUCKOFF this semester.
