STOLEN CAMERA, ST PAUL MN - BIG CASH REWARD

We just had a camera and tripod stolen from a shoot in St Paul, MN. A maroon SUV (Chevy Tahoe?) drove up to our crew, grabbed the camera and tripod, and sped off. No license plates. $4000 CASH reward if anyone can track it down and deliver it to us, or provide info that leads to its recovery. No questions asked. No joke. The Sony EX1 camera has Kyle Decker's name and number written clearly on the bottom.
 
Hahahaha, when the guy finds out that you film for a professional ski film company, he's gonna shit his pants with his realization in what he's just done. That sucks though and I hope you guys find the camera.
 
This sucks, good luck on getting it back. I'm guessing there's also footage on the camera that's lost as well. People can be lame.
 
And then Newschoolers proceeded to level St. Paul in search of a camera. We've destroyed bigger cities for less before. Shouldn't be an issue.
 
It was probably a group of 12 year old snowboarding pussies. In all seriousness though, that sucks. I really hope you guys get your gear back.

I'd be interested to know more details though, seeing as I'm from the area. St. Paul is generally quite safe when contrasted to other cities of its size.

Was there more than one person involved? Were they armed or was the camera simply too far away to stop them from running with it?

Sounds like it was planned out ahead of time because of the lack of license plates...
 
most pawn shops hate dealing with stolen goods. If you walk in with a cop and see something that was yours they take it and the pawn shop get no money. But that a legit shop.. most are shady and love dealing in the black market.

Exactly. No need for a cash reward. A "feel good warm hearted" feeling will overcome you and shun the thought of the reward. Anyways, I hope you find the camera. Keep an eye out on local ebay sites or something like craigslist for it. Best of luck in your search for that camera.

Ryan, first off when have you done any stuff in St. Paul secondly that is a real douche bag thing to say.
 
Honestsley, could have been one of the craziest things I have ever seen. Red SUV (suburban) rolls into a scene we were filming and grabs a camera on a tripod and pulls away. They packed snow in the plates so there was no identification at first glance.

I have lived here in St. Paul for pretty much all my life, awesome place, safe, but sketchy people can be anywhere right...

It was a red SUV, couldve been either a GMC or a Chevy, possibly Jimmy or old suburban.. definitely in the late 90's, 2 white guys from what i could tell in their 20s. We think there was a spotter who came by ealier in a blue truck either that couldve been a ford ranger.. They put snow on the license plates so it was definitely premeditated. we were probably about 100 feet away working on the winch, for just a few minutes and we look at them grabbing the camera through the window and taking off.
 
This. I say we fucking level this town.
Was there any footy on there? Like because i bet they feel like fucking assholes for stealing a camera from pros.
 
Doesnt the lack of license plates imply some level of premeditation? Seems like they knew what they wanted and planned this out. Also leads me to believe that they arent stupid enough to just flip it on craigslist right away. If they are smart they will sell it to foreigners~
 
Fuck man, No joke just shooting urban like an hour ago, And honestly I was thinking the same thing was about to happen thats weird.... guys, I would feel so shitty If i got my cam jacked
