Stevens Pass 2012-2013

I am the best skier on the mountain, but this comp won't recognize that because apparently being 19 disqualifies you. Fuckin bullshit...
 
they should post a map of were the new area will cover. but over all im sure we can just go farther out and get to better/diffrent stuff with new terrain.
 
Well the master plan is nearly 6 years old, so it's something they've been eyeing for a long time. A new high speed quad is fine by me. All the stuff gets skied out so fast anyway.
 
Hey guys random California kid here. I really want to go to UW and I of course want to bring my ski stuff is this where most students go? If so is there a large ski club at school? Lastly, what kind of snow is there up there from ski movies it looks like sweet sweet powder. Thanks guys

Large ski club: yes (other people will fill you in)

what kind of snow: generally on par/slightly heavier than CA

 
I go to UW. You have two options for ski clubs:

Husky Winter Sports, which runs a ski school at Snoqualmie. You get a free pass, but you have to teach lessons and ski at Snoqualmie.

Husky Snowboard Team. This is basically just a big rideshare pool that pays for some gas money. They go to various places, including Stevens.

Both organizations do parties and a movie premiere, but HWS seems to party more. Or you can meet people. I'm lucky in that I have a car here and already know plenty of people in Seattle who ride Stevens, so I have no problem with carpooling.
 
Alright sweet I think the snowboard team sounds like a little better fit even though I am a skiier. Thanks for the help and this definitely makes UW sound a little better
 
Just wanted to say thanks to all you guys who make my season awesome every year. today was officially my last day at stevens unless they stay open after park city. thanks to all you crazy fuckers and its too bad i won't be able to be at HOTS (last year was one of the best nights of my year). See all you ugly bastards soon.
 
I'm in the snowboard team. it can be hit or miss, but you can usually find a ride to stevens mainly. it's worked out well for me so far.
 
Almost got stuck Saturday. Had to get a running start and some pushing help to make it around the top end of the second lot. I need a car with 4WD.

Mission Ridge's park > Stevens right now minus jump size, didn't see that one coming at the start of the season
 
Anything planned to be going on at Stevens from March 13-18? I'll be in townand it would be cool to be around for an event or two. If not, I hear March is when you guys get a good amount of snowfall. Crossing my fingers. Also, prepare your anuses.
 
Also sucks for all you individuals who didn't get the sweet sweet pow today you will probably never ride it ever again even if it came to your front door and knocked on it
