Stevens Pass 2012-2013

Yeah last two days were kinda ridiculous. EPIC views Wednesday though. We could see all the way to Baker from the top of 7th. Looks like the snow machine is about to start up again this weekend.

Derek is the only person to ever use the call-out on me.

And a relevant quote from yesterday:

Me: "Hey Derek. Hi."

Derek: "Me too."

Just saw this on their Facebook:

I hope this doesn't keep being a problem. A shitty pipe is only good for doing flips out of near the bottom. I think part of it is that it's probably the first time cutting for the cat guys. That wouldn't surprise me at all.

goin up tomorrow, and will probable be riding by myself. so i hope you guys dont mind if i tag along through the park. need help with getting 270's out so maybe you dudes can help.

Shit I'm gonna try to make it up at least one of those days next weekend. I have to go home to the dentist that Monday. Sucks nuts cuz I wanna ski more of this epic park.

Oh and did I mention the pro line is fucking ILL right now? Some of the best jumps I've ever hit. They're bigger, the landings are steeper, the speed is better. It's fucking awesome right now.

The park is killing it hard. Thinking we'll be seeing the rest of the rail features go in over the next week, and that shit's gonna be ridiculous. I'm stoked as shit for that.

It's flatter than the other two landings, but it really isn't noticeable, at least for me. I like the new build a lot. Making it a stepdown gives you almost as much airtime as junks, and gives you a shitload of speed for juniors. They could probably make it the biggest jump with this setup.

i wish they made it the smallest so i could do some god damn tricks on a medum jump with out having to try every thing i want on a big stepdown, I would try on jr's but its a ice rink the way the sun is this time of year

They made smaller jumps to the right dude... Plus it'll be slushy this weekend so we can huck our meat without dying.

It's supposed to get into the upper forties dude. Forecast updated from even what you posted. Interesting to see if it holds. Janumay at it's finest!

I can fix that. I'm actually going to make the effort to go both days, and not having to drive one of them will make that a lot easier.

The ponepticon lives. It was just playing dead. My entire intake hose got detached from the intake box itself so it was just sucking in infinite air.

Yay! And I can't go MLK day, I have a dentist appointment at home in Olympia which I had to schedule literally a month in advance. Saturday and Sunday are gonna be it for me unfortunately.

Hey all,

I've got a unique opportunity if anyone is interested. We've got a company coming up on Friday morning to do some park shooting with remote control heli's. They aren't shooting for anything in particular, they're just hoping to build up their on-snow portfolio. However, our in house video guy (Jules) will be on hand to shoot an edit for Stevens. This is more so just for fun than anything else.

I'm looking for 3-4 skiers who know what their doing in the park. This shoot will start first chair Friday morning. The weather is looking perfect and the park is dialed. I am only looking for people who throw down, so if thats not you, better luck next time. I also see this as a great opportunity to meet and get to know some of the younger crop of skiers, and potentially utilize you guys as athletes to represent SP.

If anyone is interested send me an email ASAP to marketing@stevenspass.com with videos, photos, skier resume, etc.

Don't send me anything on here (NS), cause I won't check it....

I can skip lecture, but I can't skip quiz section. I get credit for that shit. I'll go if I can arrange something, but that's not very likely.

i would love to go but im sick have school and dont have a ride. And if you want to get younger riders there a weekend would be better
