Stevens Pass 2012-2013

FWIW, between school, NG, and Work, this is my first free weekend in a month and a half, I spent it at a friends wedding.

I am generally at school from 6:00am to sometime between 11:00pm and 1:00am, five days a week, and when I am not, it is because I am at work. It is an engineering school, so there is a 7:1 student to girl ratio. There are 9 girls in my class, 1 is a lesbian, 2 more are in other relationships, and another 2 could do with a healthy dose of anorexia. That leaves four, non of which are particularly attractive, and honestly I really don't find Reynolds numbers and wing tip vortices all that romantic.

There is nothing like comparing the viscous forces associated with synthetic vs natural lubrication to kill the mood.

Oh and to add on to that,

Between Enginerding, Skiing, and the Military (Infantry specifically), I have, with the exception of fantasy roll playing games, managed to fill my life with the most heavily male dominated cultures. I think I interact with about 15 gals a week, and most of them don't really qualify.

If I mix two parts raspberry with three parts Mountain Dew will I get a favorable reaction?

What is the half life of a big gulp in a trucker's cabin?

What process leads to that nuclear substance known as 'coffee?'

After living in an "engineering community" for a month and a half, I can say that this is absolutely 100% true.

I'm an engineer too ya god damn pussies. THE MOST SUPERIOR KIND OF ENGINEER. WAIT I DONT GO TO SCHOOL ANYMORE AHAHAHAHAHA~

It's on the calendar page, but I don't see it happening without at least one more big storm, which most likely will not happen in time based on the current forecast.

i would be stoked for it (or at least one of the mountains) to open that week. its the only time im in seattle before the end of december.

but im already at 7 days of lift accessed skiing this year so...

I also talked to a random employee today when we were there who seemed surprised that it's even on the page anywhere. See how it goes ya know?

i like that

snow forecast.

next Monday.

I'll be back in the area for thanksgiving, hopefully stevens is open so I can remind myself how much more awesome I am than WAtards~

The earliest I can make it up is Friday, and with only those two lifts running and the snow being the heaviest concrete, the only option is to hike. But I don't feel that's worth it without going deep in, to places I don't want to be without the proper gear or knowledge, especially since the avy danger is probably gonna be through the roof on anything exposed.

Does that answer your question?

It also might be raining then, but no one knows shit about the weather past Thursday right now. Models are all over the fucking place.

Whelp looks like I have something to do while I wait for all the UW kids to go on break , win. anybody that's been up know if theres gunna be any park stuff set out?

NEED A RIDE FROM SEATTLE TO THE PASS TOMORROW! I have cash, grass, and ass... thus I am an excellent carpooler. PM me if you can help a brother out.

contemplating skipping my last 3 periods to go up, but i only have pow skis and i doubt it will be worth it. but maybe on wednesday? plus its only 12-4

Fuck, my buddy has work tomorrow and i dont have anybody else to go up with. guess i have to wait till the weekend :(

Well shit, I was not expecting this. Do I ski or skip work this week? Decisions, decisions...

I usually have at least one extra seat in my truck open when I head up, but take 203 from North Bend early in the morning. I could always meet up in Monroe if someone needs a ride.

Seriously. Sitting here on my laptop when I should have been at work today is already making me want to make this short week even shorter. Now that skiing could be involved...we'll see.

Not sure, but choosing Brooks as one of two chairs to open seems like a park oriented move to me. Plus they don't even need snow to set up half those features now that they have those bases on them.

Let me know though. I'm headed up Friday and/or Saturday.
