i don't want to get into detail on a public internet forum, but basically i got way to drunk during my first month of college and didn't cooperate with the police.

i just looked on the a basin website and they are opening tomorrow (friday)!!! they are on a day-by-day basis right now and don't know when they will open.

large deer body on the road 5 miles east of kremmling. check it out! WP was super sick today, no lines, good setup for mini-park. Our rail park begins construction tomorrow. Weeee.

flat purple shotgun......flat down......up flat........s-rail

I believe that will e the main setup for the "mini-park" for now.

hey boaters. thinkin about driving up from the fort tomorrow for opening day.....fingers crossed. how's it looking? is it worth the drive?

just wondering why we set up big big rails at the beginning of the season....are we trying to kill people. it can't be that hard to setup or build a box. let me tell you this--my mom is SO pissed because there aren't any small rails. instead of the four connected flat rails we should just bury one flat rail three inches out of the ground and the other should be a normal height. yes, i am bithcing, but i figure with all the years we've had a park and all the examples other resorts have set, it shouldn't be too hard to figure it out. boo.

oh yeah, and why do we have the lip onto the s-rail set up straight on? silly silly. ps: this rant does not mean i hate anyone or the park staff, it's just hard for me to represent a mountain that doesn't back the most influential element of skiing.

I agree to some extent, although I think my main beef lies in the fact that the rails are set up way too close together...I wouldn't mind them getting rid of the S-rail at the bottom so they could put more space between the other rails. For as big as those rails are and the speed you carry down that you need a bit more time to check speed to get on the rail straight I find...my opinion of course.

And I must have seen at least three people get carted off the mountain in the meat wagon today (although none from the park from what I saw) Be careful out there people!

I agree with Gez ^ they are alittle too close together and in case you guys didn't notice the 5 foot long rail that was just to the left of the s-rail is the perfect rail to warm up on if you are affaid of the other rails ^^ but yeah its a good start to the season

I think its an excellent start for the season, especially when other places like basin and copper have nothing setup but boxes and really dinky rails. Yes its crunched in, but its something you can get used to. As for the s-rail, many things i dont like about it, the inrun/ramp for one thing, and the constant fucking "landing ramp" they always insist on building. If it isnt shaved down tomorrow night, I will do it myself with a shovel. I also think the lips are too wide and encourage too many kids jumping off the sides, which is a major pita, especially when they cut off other people. I could see about possibly setting up another "learner" rail, but we are seriously cramped already (like that isnt obvious). The "ramp" at the end of the s-rail is a deathtrap and is my first priority to fix for now.

I agree that its an excellent start...I'm glad they haven't limited us to boxes and mini rails thus far....I gotta say thought that I hate where they put the learner rail. Granted, there isn't really anywhere to put it but I've seen two skiers come off the second flat-down rail switch and ride right over that thing and eat shit into the fence...I definitely hit it too and sprained my thumb...I'm a dumbass though.

Definitely agreed about the fricken gapers and racer kids jumping off the sides of the wedges...I hate that shit and try to yell at anybody doing it, but it doesn't seem to matter. Anybody know when they plan on opening up the park in Bashor?

I can't disagree about it being a great start and that the rails are too close together. But I love the fact that copper has boxes and smaller rails set up. I have so much fun trying trick variations on the boxes and smaller rails. Thats just my thought....

Good lord it has been deep here the past two days...tomorrow should be pretty sweet still, probably nowhere near as good as today though. wow

wow, that picture has got me really excited - im going to be there over break and cant wait...mostly because im in michigan right now and we have no snow

nice dude....we were cutting over as far as twilight and even caught part of the two o clock trees. you had to stick to broken trail to get out there cause it was literally balls deep...face shot city in the trees though

something like 47 inches.....I measured some drifts in the trees with my pole that were easily 60 inches, in some places deeper
