When I get back from biking in a week or two I'll probably ski Beartooth Pass and Hyalite.

up until 2 weeks ago they had nearly 100% full coverage, this warm weather is really going to hurt it though.

kip do you think this weekend will be any good? the snow is mealting fast it looks like...

i think there will be plenty of snow to ski but its going to be damn sticky. i plan on getting up very early tomorrow so i can be there while its still somewhat cold on saturday morning

we hiked up showdown again yesterday. we started skinning at about 815 and the snow was already incredibly soft, it was unskiable by about 1130 but they still have a solid 3-4 foot base across most of the mountain and i guess they are supposed to get pounded memorial weekend. glory hole had slid earlier in the week, it was a real small slide like an 8 inch crown and about 50 feet wide. the deposition zone was about 150 yards below the crown and looked barely big enough to bury someone and if they were buried they could be located probably in less than 2 minutes with a beacon

drove up to beehive basin midday yestersay to have a look around. about 3 feet or so of snow still at trailhead. looks like youd have to get there pretty early to get reasonable snow conditions. might check it out later this week. looks like there will be snow up there for a long time though

damn, showdown is about to get pounded!!

Showdown got about 30" of snow from this last snow on top of their base that was about 3' deep in places so we headed up there today for some jibbing. It was so warm we literally watched the snow melt. Most of the runs had bare spots on them but could probably be skied. The upper 2/3 of big 7 had 100% cover as did all the north facing runs (upper quick, spec..) We set up an urban style down rail and a flat-up rail in the park that were alot of fun. Media will come soon. We were able to ski back to the lodge from the park to so its not completely melted.

yeah dude, that was such a fun sesh, granted nothing huge went down it was still gnarly to ski at showdown mid JUNE!!!!

Here is our setup, we have alot of higher quality pics of us sessioning if Drew would quit being lazy and throw them into cyber space, anyway you can see our down rail and the up part of our flat-up rail.

fun jump we built at Bridger last Saturday. Still so much snow for June. There was some crazy wet slides over in the chutes next to us, it was nuts.

got a little line in yesterday. those of you familiar with big sky- the traverse that goes below challenger and over to moonlight. i parked at the condos below that face. hiked up some scree to the traverse there, drank a beer in the sun, and shredded down. got all of 23 sweet corn turns. it was EPIC. gotta love skiing on june 21. now i just have to get down to beartooth

I saw some kids throwing down at bridger, step down on white lightening. If you are the guy pulling the flat 3s all no grabbed out, please claim! All riding 4frnts

Drew (miralas), Veggie Dave (Guddgulf), and some other Kalispell kids and I skied Jewel Basin over the weekend. There was lots of slide activity on the backside we stuck to some lower angle stuff on the front. If your in the ON3P cult check out the footage of Dave shredding his ON3Ps. Otherwise you will have to settle with my cell phone pic looking towards the microwave shack and MT Aeneas.
