Spinning and closing your eyes?

Well, I just recently started doing more and more 360's, and I noticed that I never see where I am going. It doesn't feel like I am physically closing my eyes though. So i was wondering, can you guys see where we are going when spinning?

seeing is key. being able to see your surroundings and spotting your landings is very important. it comes with more practice. trampoline helps

yes you always want to be looking and spotting something, for threes you want to spot the landing before you take off, pop, spin, you should see up hill at 180 and then see your landing at 180

it's pretty amazing how your body will follow your head, which is why spotting is such a good habit to have.

I have only fallen twice out of about 100. First was because I landed back seat and my skis went out in front of my to far. Second I landed on a sheet of ice.

i used to be like that on straight airs.. i just wouldn't really 'see' anything. the way i solved it was just to really focus on spotting the landing. sounds like you need to concentrate on looking around and then at the landing

The weird this is sometimes I never seem to remember what I saw while I was spinning. I can recall the spinning feeling, but I wouldn't be able to actually recall me seeing anything.

im the exact same way..its even made me fall cuz i dont see my landing..but youre right, it feels like i cant help it

i used to close my eyes for frontflips and not even notice they were closed, then i focused on opening them and everything was a ton easier

Yea your spinning too fast.. Just imagine yourself hitting it hard and floating your spin.. then hit it twice as hard as you normally would..

I don't necessarily close my eyes, but I just don't turn my head. I feel like ALL of my landings are blind landings, but that's just the way I learned how to do things. I have no problem with it, but it's prevented me from spinning past a 7. Once I got a trampoline, I was able to practice this "air awareness" everyone speaks of, and so far it's been a great help. Nevertheless, I still feel like I can't spot my landings. When I turn my head I lose my axis of spin. I guess this is just an issue of practice makes perfect.

I never close my eyes, I need to see so I can get a reference in time and space. I always search for my landing while judging my height in the air.

you shud work on spotting. it helps so fuckin much. i jsut learned 7's and they're so goddam easy kuz spotting is simple

i feel the same thing but with praactice all will be good. you can spin and dont see what you do but always watch the landing. when i spin 540s the last 180.. i dont see what i have do bbut i can see the landing??
