I don't necessarily close my eyes, but I just don't turn my head. I feel like ALL of my landings are blind landings, but that's just the way I learned how to do things. I have no problem with it, but it's prevented me from spinning past a 7. Once I got a trampoline, I was able to practice this "air awareness" everyone speaks of, and so far it's been a great help. Nevertheless, I still feel like I can't spot my landings. When I turn my head I lose my axis of spin. I guess this is just an issue of practice makes perfect.
