Sooo big.... snowboarders planning world record

go to www.shralp.com there's some footage of the construction...

they're planning to build the biggest ramp/kicker of all times, using 50.000 cubic meters of snow.

location: ski jumping stadium of garmisch-partenkirchen, germany. they hope to achieve a world-record of airtime (about 4 secs or something)

they'll also use air cushions, so no one gets hurt...

this is snowboarding's attempt to make up for the fact that skiers have been going WAY bigger than them for years now. i'm not hating on snowboarders (some of my favorite riders are snowboarders), but we've been going much bigger than them since Candide stomped Chad's. if Candide could hit that fucker, he'd show everyone what's up.

^hahahahhahahahhahahah

b crew? hahahahahhahaha you'd friggin kill yourself on something like that tryin to hit it on skiblades. hahahahahhaha do it.

wasn't jon ollsson claiming biggest comp jump ever on the invitiational site? it'd suck if he got owned the same year by borders.

I just found this info on the german redbull-site:

the construction will be about 25m = 75ft high.

imagine the airtime!!!!

If you go on itunes, theres a video pod cast called shralp! that has some footage of the site and them beginning to make the jump.

its a jon olsson invitational style jump, kinda like a step up, so its really hard to hurt yourself

if its really 240 feet and like a steep up i kinda have a feeling its gunna end up being like when david benidict tried to do that step up in 91 words for snow in whistler and it just wasnt possible to clear like a table, it is made to be like a hip too but idk

would be sick to see candide hit that. and about mads jonson in hemsedal norway. that was last years world record table jump. he did a 57!metre long frontside 360 over the 40m long table. broke his wrist on second attempt. thats like 170 feet long and no "airbags" beneath. respect. Gonna be cool to see the jump in germany though, even though it doesnt look like 240 feet.

but if its a hip, then why is there a kicker and a landing, thats what it looks like, and who measures kickers in feet in distance?

when i first looked at the first pic i thought they were gunna jump outta the stadium from the kicker hahaha that would b cool
