Seriously, the last Mac commercial just did it for me. Where do these guys get off on blatantly telling people PC sucks? They have no class at all. In fact, one of the main reasons I didn't get a Mac for college was because they can't even supply a good product without putting another down. I've had PC all my life (mother and bro have macs) and I have never had a problem with them.

They have never had a problem either until these commercials. Now "mac is superior because the commercial says so."
 
ya i hate commercials that dont focus on the positives of their product but rather the negative of their competitors. plus macs are complete shit.

I dont understand the new commercial bashing the vista operatingsystem about crashing. Ive had vista on my comp for about 3 months now, rarely restart or turn off my computer, and have maybe once had a problem with a crash. The vista operating system also doesnt have any problems running my massive computer science projects, accessing thousands of my songs, or handeling video and photo editing programs.

i will NEVER own a mac
 
yea those commercials are weak and unoriginal. It was funny the first 20 times they made one like that, time to get over it and think of something new.

fuck apple. after having 3 ipods break for no reason and them not providing any help at all, i'm done with them. when this ipod right now breaks (which it will) i'm getting a zune.
 
well I plan on going into music production, and in this field, you rarely see PCs

and I've used macs from 4 years ago and they kick he shit out of my PC from the same year despite the PC having more ram and the same size processor
 
im officially a mac user now.... just got a macbook. but yeah their new commercial is complete bullshit ive worked on pcs for a long time and .... well actually had tons of problems and finally got this mac and its amazing. but the commercial, with them bashing on windows vista and shit is completely unnesesary (sp, im lazy). so thumbs down for their commercials but thumbs up for their products. never had a problem with my ipod or anything. and so far nothing with my macbook, but lets see....

Yeah pepsi commercials used to really grind my gears when they put coke down all the time. I've had PC's forever but last year I got a Macbook. I like both Mac and PC for differnt things. I think that coice between mac and Pc should just be based on personal preference and nothing more.

seems to be that way, huh? i pretty much am the only person i know who has never bought one of their products. i do have an ipod, but it's my brothers old one that he gave to me because it doesn't really work and dad bought him a touch for christmas. i got totally shit on at my new job today for not being a mac-user. really pissed me off to be honest. i don't doubt that they're good, but still- being mad at me because it's not what i own? sorryyy for not being in the mac-cult. (no hate)
 
I dislike Apple because they are way to high on their fucking horse. Their recent PR is in awful taste and promotes the use of slanderous material in business which is what we DON'T fucking need.

So apple...

Go fuck yourself.
 
I do like PC much better because i am so used to them. However, i do give apple credit as their stock has done amazing the past couple of years so they have to be doing something right.

As for PC I dont see why they dont come out wtih their own advertising campaingn they are just sitting there taking a beating.

Macs really aren't that bad, but they aren't the super awesome, 100x better than PC OS the way they make it sound.
 
I laugh at anyone who says pc are better than macs, every time i use someone else PC shit takes forever to load and is set up ridiculously horrible.

MAC > PC its just a fact.

Oh feel free to quote me and write multi-paragraph responses "owning" me or whatever you wish to write, i dont care, i will always like mac better.

yeah...their ads have become a tad pretentious as of late

that being said, I own a custom made PC, and every time I edit something, I find myself wishing I had a Mac. It's that simple.
 
Thats the American way baby... i mean look at the current primary bullshit.

And to the ppl who keep sayin that their ipods break on them for no reason...Thats complete bullshit. I had a 3rd Gen last for like 5 years and didnt have a problem with it. I now have a nano which is bomb, battery lasts about 10 hrs and a macbook, which out performs most of my friends pc laptops, and even desktops, so suck it.

I figure since this thread has become a hater thread i would stand up for whats right....MAC FTW BITCHES!
 
i have to agree with what you said, for my uses which are word processing, surfing the intrawebz, basic html coding, music (listening and minimal editing), editing with final cut, livetype, and photoshop, my mac is so much faster than any pc i have used. however there are times when a pc is more practical than a mac
 
Then the people you know with PC's are morons. Anyone can take a perfectly good computer (PC or Mac) and fuck it up to load slow and run like balls. I've had my laptop for almost 3 years now and the only problems i have had are hardware. Windows has always worked fine. Maybe 1 blue screen...so insignificant i can't even remember it.

You guys need to remember that computers are like cars...you gotta do maintenance or it will run like shit...noobs.

 
my mac is 7 years old and i have hard booted it twice. oh and i do zero maintenance. no virus scan software because i dont need it, no firewall, i run programs that aren't compatible, pcs just require way more maintenance than a mac
 
Meh, ive had my lap top for a year and a half and over a 3 years with my pc desktop i had to reformat like 4 times, and it was constantly slow and a piece of shit. I really shouldn't be arguing this though, i am very bias.

I never really suggest a Mac to an average person. Its kinda too much. If your into graphic design, motion graphics, music production, or of course the best ;), video production, then Mac is the way to go. Other than that i have really seen no need for people to have them. I guess a lot of people like them though cuz they dont get viruses, they are easy to use, faster, and never heard of anyone really having problems with them.
I wouldnt hate on something cuz of a commercial, cuz then you would pretty much be hating on everything (except most beer) cuz commercials suck.
 
I've been saying that about Mastercard commercials for YEARS!

Watching a Mastercard commercial try and throw out catchy oneliners over and over and over again over years and years and years with the exact same punchline at the end... NOT PRICELESS
 
i love my mac it works perfectly for what i need it for. all my schools computers are pc's and i never have a problem transferring things over.

that being said the commercials are a little much there is enough good things about macs to talk about hey don't have to rag on pc every single commercial
 
A mac can't be faster than a pc just because it's a mac. It's all about the specs so obviously an upgraded pc = can be faster than a mac.
 
my macbook helps me ride my fixed gear while drinking coffee and texting on my sidekick, take that pc.
